I kinda wish that the frieza saga had came after cell or even buu because then no one can use the chronology argument. By the opinion of most of the users on this site, frieza was the best villain. It's only fitting that the best villain be the strongest so I would have loved frieza to be at the end of the series. |

Bulma fixes alien technology and makes time machines. Her Dad controls gravity and has pet dinosaurs. People look over at a huge dragon that makes the sky black and become frightened, but then find out that it's at CC and lols. Powerful machines aren't farfetched at all, especially considering their methods of attaining power: energy absorption + infinite energy generator + genetic selection/bio extraction/assimilation of infinite energy generator... Bulma and her dad called Gero genius from what they saw from blueprints and #16; that alone makes him beyond belief. |

It's semi-plausible, though that doesn't really make it any less annoying. I found things seemed very different after the Frieza saga, like it became more of a ... 'who has the bigger d*ck (power level)' type thing, rather than morality. |

I'm just wondering why didn't Gero introduce these androids in Dragon Ball. Surely they would have destroyed Goku and anyone else up until Cell and Buu came. I don't mind Androids 17 and 18 being stronger. I am however skeptical on 20 and 19 seeing as they didn't know of Goku's SSJ transformation in Namek. I don't have Frieza that far away from SSJ Goku on Namek so it's just all a bit confusing. |

I'm fine the Artificial Humans being stronger. Hell, like what's been already said...SS Goku Post Yardrat was stronger than Frieza, Trunks was too and he was weaker than Goku. So, logically it would make sense for them to be stronger than Frieza. |

You are Gero and you study Goku (using approximations) Goku --------- Goku goes from 450 with a Kamehameha in the 900 range vs Raditz. Then he comeback a year later 20x stronger jaut his BASE without kaioken. Then he uses kaioken x 4 and throws his power over 30,000 easy. Logically at worse after seeing he has Lerner how to make such big gains, you have to account for those multiples or at least Goku being able to raise his power 10x as much yearly without kaioken. Ao there are 4 years before he plans to activate the droids. 9000 x 10 = 90000 -> 900000 - -> 9,000,000 ---> 90,000,000; then a hypothetical kaioken x 4 at 360,000,000 Vegeta ----------- He comes to the planet at 18,000. He shows the ability to use a Gallic gun that balances out the uber Kamehameha with kaioken. He survives a Spirit bomb. He goes ape to put himself at 180,000. Saiyans tails are none to grown back, and Vegeta is a royal full blood who vows to comeback and seek revenge on Gohan, Goku, and Krillin. If he expects him to progress at least on par with Goku if not slightly worse. Since he was more than 2* his strength and could possibly regrow his tail, he has to expect someone in the high multi millions. Gohan -------- Kid has a pl of 1, gets mad and it's over 1300 at age 4, surpassing Goku, Piccolo, Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha combined. If he ever learned to control said power, he could pass them all by as he would be entering the age of a teen, which is when Goku beat the Red Ribbon army originally, he also could hypothetically regrow his tail to go with his rage power. Piccolo --------- He was always relatively close to Goku in terms of start of Z end of DB. He makes a progression from the 400 range to the 3,000 range iirc. He would logically continue to progress. Piccolo goes to the land of the Kai and goes from that to increasing his power what well over 10-20 fold in weeks. He goes from 4,000,000 or so range to SSJ tier in 3 years. He was a different type of Namekian all together because he has the essence of a demon in him. Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien. -------------- Yamcha goes from below 200 to at least 1300 in a year which is a 6x gain. Tien gets at least 7-8x stronger and has the tri beam. Krillin gets 6-8 stronger and displays a technique that has to be well over 6k in terms of its power level total as it obliterates 3 Saibaman who are fresh and at 1200 a piece and makes the whole a team run. If they made a 5x progression every year for 4 years straight they would be in the 6 figures area without King Kai or Guru for Krillin. Yeah Nappas scouter is available. Raditzs was damaged but there could have been parts left and as we saw, a guy like Brief only needed a few pieces of a saiyan ship to not only recreate but improve it. He also obviously knows the levels as they identify Yamcha by reading his Supressed level, which is mistaken for an improved Goku. 16s sensors also registered Piccolo as 17s equal which we all saw was close, so he had to have devised a way to do it. The spy bot for all we know could've been watching them at Kame House when Bulma was repairing the one for Raditz as well since 16 had Kame House in his memory banks, and that bot had been following them for so long undetected |

So they could only see power that is stated but nothing later. After Vegeta destroys scouter, there is no more power level statmets on Earth. |

As in figures outloud like the over 9,000 or 180,000 lines, no. 17 and Piccolo registered equals to the computers of 16 so he had something like a scouter built in. 17 and 18 had parameters as they say Vegeta exceeded what they expected and wondered if Goku was stronger. 19 and 20 used scouter like readings to find Yamcha. If I'm not maintain, 16 was even able to know the last times Gokus energy signal moved but not follow it to presumably the lookout, much like Buu for a while couldn't sense them there

I understand it a lot more now that Kblo247 explained it. But overall it still doesn't make sense to the series. I know that it's not far fetched for the androids to be stronger than Frieza but... It....just....doesn't.....make.....SENSE!

I have to agree with the fact that I didn't like the concept of androids being stronger than most of the human/saiyan z fighters. The idea was cool in the fact that it reminded me of Terminator, which I found out is where Toriyama got his idea of the twisted future from. The reason behind why I dont like androids being stronger is because when Dr. Gero was alive in Red Ribbon Army androids were really weak. I understand he could have done years of research to improve, but it just felt awkward. It also didn't make sense to me on how the androids were capable of having emotions like Android 18 did. If you make androids, they should be cold and unfeeling just like how Kyle Reese says in terminator. "He doesn't feel pity or remorse. He will never stop until you are dead." I would have preferred more alien creatures coming from distant planets than androids. |

Android 18 had emotions because she was still, for the most part, human. I think that it makes sense for her to have free will. But I agree, I would've liked it better if more powerful alien creatures encountered the z fighters instead of the androids. Hell, I would've liked it alot better if King Cold and Mecha Frieza were the main villans instead of the androids. Edited by Super Gogito, Oct 25 2012, 02:05 AM.
