If we added an RP section, we could seem more appealing to the people who wish to RP. I mean, I don't see the negatives of potentially having a section dedicated to it.

Google Chrome	If you want an RP, find a forum specifically designed for it. They are generally more equipped for role playing and you'd probably gain a better experience from doing that since that is their primary concern. There's so much stuff on DBZF as it is that the role playing section would not be the top priority at all and therefore it may be neglected by staff and members alike, would not be in-depth and has not really worked in the past either. Role playing forums have a better grasp of rules designed for the game you are playing and therefore can afford to go quite in-depth and more involving. The most you'd get here is a topic or two of people writing a story without much incentive to finish it and no achievement at the end.

Indeed, our forums are pretty broad as it is with a big group of people posting in the general sections as well as Dragonball. The adaptation of a Dragonball section would be a massive undertaking. We are understaffed and too focused on two main sections of the forum (the DBZ/general) to add a third. We've tried, and it just hasn't worked.

Posts: 573 Group: GTFO Member #593 Joined: August 8, 2005	Trust me, we've had a couple RPGS. Ones from basic ones, to complex ones. All failed. No matter how detail or reality we put in them, they all failed. A couple members would be active, other people would just register and not continue the story. Therefore, the time it takes to do updates and production is not worth the failure rate. Its just honesty.

That's honestly why I went with written format of my Yu-Gi-Oh! stuff instead of an RPG. I didn't think this forum had enough people really invested in RP'ing that, or RP'ing in general. There's an RPG site called RPG Guild or something similar, and I'd suggest that if you want to RP. It's got simple RPing and then advanced RPing, where you (IIRC) have to write at least 2 paragraphs for your post to not be considered spam.

Mozilla Firefox	If anyone would ever be interested in a DBZ forum RPG, I believe I could help with that. I have a lot of experience with forum RPGs, and a friend and I already have a - if I do say so myself - rather brilliant set of systems for a DBZ forum RPG. It's something we're sitting on for the time being while I'm working over the summer, but in a few weeks when classes begin we're going to look into going full scale with it. The time investment won't be a problem for us as far as running it, since we've done it before, but we'd like to have as many people as possible.
