With arguably the best defense in the league, the 49ers come back in the 12-13 season loaded with powerful offense to match their dominant defense. Look for Alex smith to become more than just a game manager, especially with such prolific targets like Mario Manningham and Randy Mofo Moss.

49ers go to the super bowl this year.

Niners had trouble with Seahawks. I don't think they're #1 or #2 in NFC anymore.
We had trouble? Excuse me? We held the seahawks to two field goals. The Packers couldn't do that.
I'm talking about your offense obviously.
Seattle has a good defense, dunno what the problem is

haha this is gonna be interesting. Jim Haurbaugh wants Kaepernick to challenge Alex Smith for the job. This will be very entertaining.

The 49ers may find themselves with a new starting QB. I am waiting for it.

Plus this way the other teams don't know which quarterback to prepare for. Do we get ready to face long arm Kaepernick or face shorthrow Smith?

It looks like the 49ers played better against New Orleans although the New Orleans are notoriously bad at defense. They are a better team with the backup QB in though. I can see them doing well if they can get him some experience.

I can't see how Harbaugh wouldn't give Alex Smith a chance to regain his job. That would be complete bull***** if I must says so myself. Alex Smith took em to 13-3 and the NFC Championship game, which they should have won, and it wasn't his fault they lost. And he took em to like 5-2 this year before he went down. I've been a big Alex Smith fan even when he was down in the dumps, and I would be pissed off if I were Alex Smith that I am not starting.

Alex Smith reminds me a lot of Kerry Collins when he was on the Giants. Collins like Smith had great arm. It is the fact that Alex Smith doesn't utilize his team's weapons enough for whatever reason. I don't understand why they have Randy Moss and don't throw to him as much as they should be. Heck Tom Brady would throw to him in double coverage or triple coverage. Even Mario Manningham doesn't get utilized enough with Smith in there.

Then when the back up QB comes in, they do simple plays. It annoys me when they don't do the same for starting QB's.

Lesson from Kerry Collins on how to use Randy Moss properly with Oakland Raiders

Dante Culpepper and Randy Moss

Why am I posting these videos? I think Alex Smith can do better by utilizing simple plays and throwing it to Randy Moss more often.

First off, the 49ers offense didn't win this game. I dont care HOW bad the Saints defense is.

The #1 defense in the league won this game. 2 Pick Sixes off Brees, and then he got stoned walled. Sacked 5 times IIRC

Randy Moss is old, and we have no reason to utilize any plays involving him right now. He's probably got a whole list of routes they've worked on. You more than likely wont see him utilized until the playoffs

I also see Alex Smith getting his job back, I feel this was indeed temporary. Alex Smith is consistent

Number 2 defense because Steelers are still number 1.

LOL Randy Moss is old? Okay I am fairly certain he could out run most Receivers today STILL. I hope you guys don't use him at all in the Playoffs because then some other team can use him right.

I'm sure Tom Brady would love to have him on his team again.

Oh look...the main offense they had was when Alex Smith threw it to Randy Moss against the Giants. I want the 49ers to do well because they deserve it, but honestly, if you face a team that has a great D and you don't use your offensive weapons, you will lose.

LOL WHAT? A GREAT DEFENSE? You mean like the Bears? We DESTROYED the Steelers last year too. Great defense doesn't really mean anything if you can't punch through our Secondary. Steelers are HARDLY the best defense in the league. They just dropped a game to the browns.

Randy moss is never targeted, so of course he's going to get ONE pass for big yards.

Superbowl this year is 49ers vs Patriots

The Bears were missing Urlacher that game you played against them just saying. You know what will happen when the 49ers face the Patriots? The Patriots will run wild on them because they know how to use their offensive weapons right. If you guys face a decent team on defense in the playoffs, you will get owned because you can't use Randy Moss right. Look what happened to the 49ers against the Vikings haha. Their defense isn't even in the top 10 last time I checked.

If you guys lose, you have no one else to blame but yourselves.

Don't know how to utilize our offense? REALLY? We lead in rushing. WE ARE NOT A PASSING TEam, we are NOT a Quarterback focused team. How have you not figured this out yet?
