What are problems with the gaming community to us

 Recently, I've been reading up on some upcoming video game, such as COD, Halo, Naruto and Splinter Cell.

And I keep seeing very often people complaining about how its the same every time, now I'm not being hypocritical, I know I've been anti-COD for ages because of the repetition, but it's recently started to bug me alot when people complain about games and say They wont buy it (Even though They will eventually) Just because its somewhat the same as its previous game, or another series/franchise.

I have a few times now stopped to think about that and realised that a game would'nt really be a sequel unless it was reminiscant of its predecessor.

People snap up GTA every time it comes out, I love GTA and so do many people, thats always the same yet is still fun and feels unique.

People buy COD....And that does not need to be explained.

And yet a few weeks beforehand those very people were saying They would never buy the game because of the information given so far.

That leads onto the other problem, people judge a game based on its release information, and it annoys me to think how They act as if Their thoughts on the game are exactly how it is.

And now Crysis is a massive franchise and not a total COD clone from the future.

Does this annoy other people as well, and if not, what does?
