Google Chrome Favourite Manga Monster, One Piece, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter X Hunter, Death Note, SnK	So, we're just over a week away from the opening ceremony I think, I know that athletes have already started arriving so we're getting close. So, we can use this topic to talk about different events etc and any other Olympics things you can think of. Did anyone see the news about the Olympic Lanes in London not really going to plan? Apparently everyone was confused about them and London drivers weren't sure if they were allowed to use them. It took 4 hours to get some of the teams from the airport to the Athletes Village, even though it's only a 25km (or mile) drive. I hope this is just a blip and doesn't set the tone for the games in general.

Rare to see the top 10-12 players in the world on the same team. I'll watch other events if I see them when scanning the channels but I don't set my tivo for them or anything.

I want to watch the Football for a similar reason, although it's for Team GB because even though they aren't the top players in the world, it's unique to see players from England, Scotland, Wales and NI playing on the same side. I'll probably watch the tennis as well and a few track events. Actually, I'll end up watching a load of stuff.

Ninjajp/Slayerslice appeal	I usually watch the gymnastics a bit as I did last time, and this time probably the football (well definitely), boxing and the shorter running events. Was a programme on BBC 3 about some of the sprinters (Bolt, Blake, Powell, Gay, Gatlin and Lemaitre) so I feel like I know more about them now and can understand how they feel better. Also might watch the swimming and maybe (field) hockey. Also anything I happen to catch on tv if it looks interesting.

Britain unless you mean the English players played badly and the Welsh ones were ok. Ramsey was impressive once he came on. I do agree they weren't very good though. They did the usual thing I see the England team do which is sitting back after taking the lead. I think the women's GB team is playing better football, but they still do have the same possession issue really, just a bit less and their crosses were always on target and the left winger was great going forwards. The USA-France game was great, USA came back after conceding twice to win 4-2. Brazil's first goal in the men's was nice, didn't see the rest of the goals but it was probably a good game. Few other games had lord of action too. The 2 worst games were probably the GB game and the South Korea game. Wonder who'll carry the torch tomorrow. Guess the 2 biggest contenders are Beckham to get it a 2nd time (so he'd start and finish it) or Steven Redgrave. edit: Also the previews of the opening ceremony looked weird lol did anyone see the guys on the bikes with wings? Ninjajp/Slayerslice appeal	I actually thought it was ok/good after the first hour. My favourite part until then though was the music, which isn't a good thing to have to say. It was just too jokey, and I don't think people outside of the UK will really know what's going on tbh. It looked more like a musical really for the first hour (if it was a musical it would be a good one). Also that stuff with the mobiles and gaming was just silly, since it's not really unique to Britain. For a a few seconds it looked more like it was the Japanese olympics....then I left the room for a bit. Like I said though it was fine after the first hour really. Looking forwards to all the sports, this'll be the first time I'll really be into it.
