A lot of people seem to be comparing this to the Red Wedding in GOT...I think it's much much worse. The Red Wedding was sudden and over in minutes, horrible yes but it's not like all the people that died were all that well developed, well loved or long standing characters in any way, given how many characters are in GOT and how often they get killed off. |

I didn't think it was boring, but I didn't have anywhere near the reaction that everyone else seemed to have. For whatever reason I just can't seem to buy into Neagan as this terrifying villain. I don't think it's the acting, it's the script, for me it just doesn't work the way it seems to for everyone else. His dialogue doesn't feel like the dialogue of a real person. Plus, it felt like they were relying heavily on the gore to be impactful which felt cheap to me. It wasn't bad, I just wasn't blown away by it. Still invested in them getting revenge though. |

Ummmm excuse me? Catelyn and Robb weren't well-developed, well-loved, or long standing? Gtfo of here with that nonsense. I cried during the Red Wedding and felt nothing during these killings. lol I also don't get why people claim that soooo many characters die so often in GOT. Which main characters have died aside from those two and Ned? Exactly.

Joffrey, Margery Tyrell, Ramsey and Roose Bolton, Ygritte, Tywin Lannister and Tommen and Robert Baratheon. So a fair few actually. |

Uh... a ton, OFG. A ton xD. We watching the same Game of Thrones? And also, I picked Abe and Glenn back in like, February or January. The leaks have been all over the internet for a long time so it wasn't exactly a surprise. But holy hell... they still executed (no pun intended) to perfection. Don't worry guys, Glenn got underneath a dumpster. He's fine. |

Haven't you read the books though? They were hardly that developed in the show, the Red Wedding was what, 3 seasons? Catelyn was the only one of the lot that was all that interesting really. Whereas Glenn has been in TWD for 6 seasons and is a fan favourite and has been for all that time. I'd say that's much more impactful given the mortality rate in GOT, it's not often main characters die in TWD it's usually only folk that have been around for a season or two. I somewhat agree about the script for Negan but at the same time the way he's so callous about it makes him pretty scary, like he just doesn't give a damn about human life. All this is funny to him. Whereas the Governor was just plain bad, he wasn't much of a sadist and not happily so. He was damaged by the world. Negan belongs is it, revels in it. |

@Pelador and Sam: I wouldn't consider any of those major characters aside from Joffrey. We've yet to have a Stark die since the Red Wedding, Daenerys and her peeps are all still very much alive, the Lannisters are all still alive aside from Tywin... I would consider the major characters to be Tyrion, Jaime, Cersei, Daenerys, Jon, Sansa, Bran, and Arya, and they've all been major characters since the beginning. None of them have died. But I suppose that's my own personal vendetta coming out since I constantly see those "all of your favorite characters are gonna die!" memes. Uhhh... no, they're not. Not unless your favorite character was someone minor. @Steve: I've read the books, but my boyfriend watched the show before he read them and his favorite character was Robb, so.... But this is a thread about TWD. I would say that having Glenn die is sad, sure, but he hasn't been all that important for the last two seasons (at least IMO). He's been falling off the map a bit. |

I mean, he was a cool dude but he wasn't all that interesting in the show. I'm sure the books would have padded him out a lot more than the show where screen time is split between tens of others at least. Can see that with Glenn but it seemed like more was going to happen with his story with the baby and all, he was mostly in the background for a while and then well...this. No happy baby times now, assuming Maggie lost it. I feel bad for Abraham. He should have had more screen time his loss just has no weight in comparison to Glenn. He basically filled the slot of Tyresse but there wasn't much done with him, just a meh love story and a bit of angriness as well as his part in Eugene's story. Awesome last words though. Guess Daryl is going to be away for a while since Norman Reedus will be working on that Death Stranding game? Wonder if he'll be the same man when we see him next. Possibly missing parts. Glad they didn't off him, since he's a show only character they can do anything with him. |

I noticed it but forgot what it was A nice touch indeed. So how do you lot(who haven't read the comics) think they'll get out of all this? Even if they team up with the people from the hill they're outnumbered, outgunned and severely lacking in skillful combatants. The only feasible option is to attract a huge horde to wherever Negan stays or get lucky and find more military hardware. That or some seriously genius guerilla warfare. I didn't even realize that until now. Everyone else is all up in arms about Negan and how they hate him, but I think he's one of the best characters (and actors) on the Walking Dead in a long time. The Walking Dead has been plagued with good characters with sub-par actors for a long time, and Jeffery Dean Morgan is a big league actor who has a list of amazing characters he's played, which is incredibly refreshing compared to the small league actors that they usually find. Sometimes it seems that the Zombie extras are better actors than the main cast. I love Carol, but let's face it, Melissa McBride isn't necessarily the best actress in the world. Carol is a dangerous character, but McBride herself isn't really capable of fully embodying a terrifying character, and it shows more often than it should. However, still, her best work on TWD to date is Season 4, ep 14 "The Grove", closely followed by the first episode of Season 5. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Oct 26 2016, 12:37 AM.

I wouldn't say sub-par acting has been a problem but it's definitely refreshing to have a character this well acted in the show, he fits the role perfectly. I think many people are still just bitter that people died so they want to lash out at the show saying everything about it is terrible 'cause boohoo. Seen tons of articles about how it was "too violent" also. Really...just really? Why are they watching a zombie apocalypse show if they can't handle violence... |
