Spoiler: click to toggle It just makes no sense for Glenn to live what so ever though, it certainly seems to be Nick's intestines being ripped out as though Glenn isn't dead quite yet but that could simply be because we'll have some touching farewell flashback scene of him thinking about Maggie before he actually dies.
Who would even be there to save him?
Potential as a character is meaningless many characters have been wasted despite that, Dale? T-Dog wasn't exactly a main character but they killed him pretty casually too.

Spoilers for the most recent episode. There's no way Glenn is dead. A dark and brutal end like that would fit Kirkman's style, but the whole 'Nicholas redemption' plot-line is still unresolved; somebody has to carry that with them, and who better than Glenn, who tried his best to teach Nicholas how to survive and forgave him? We'll see a darker Glenn past this point. While he disagreed with Rick throughout this episode, after seeing what happened, he'll come around to that point of view, which would lead to an interesting situation between him and Maggie, maybe she'll see him as being too brutal/uncaring. Chances are Nicholas fell on top of Glenn and it was his intestines that we saw, so Glenn could make it if he either tries hiding in that dumpster, makes a break for it through the crowd of walkers or somebody comes out of that locked door to save him.
Spoiler: click to toggle Thank you, this makes more sense. Glenn is a very important character and the death didn't have any buildup as the other important character deaths did. But I have to admit this makes the show less mature because him getting out of this is absolute BS.
So Rick is gonna lose his arm right? I've been spoiled that already, not sure if the reason he's gripping his wrist is the same idea.

He's had way to many close shaves in the whole show, surviving this would just be bad.
Yeah I heard Rick has one arm in the comics at the moment.

Spoiler: click to toggle Rick isn't gonna lose his hand. Kirkman said he regrets doing that, especially early on. We've already seen it with Merle, so seeing it again wouldn't have nearly the same impact as it did in the comics.
As for Glenn's death being built up; every single character has build-up, so it's not like this is a special case. I remember a walker approaching Daryl from behind in S4E8 and grabbing him, yet he still came out perfectly fine. TWD isn't vague when it comes to killing off character, so why would they leave so much to question in this episode?
Yeah, Carl's lost an eye in the comics and it was a really big part of his development as a character. They seem to be developing him a lot outside of that at the moment, so they may delay it or just forego it entirely.

Spoiler: click to toggle Well he's the first main character to die in a loooong time and one of the first characters so it's not like they could just chuck him to the side and say he's dead, if he stays dead he'll probably have some flashback stuff like what Hershel got. They'd want to stretch it out to give him a proper farewell.
Which I think they should 'cause it's been forever since we could feel like the main group was mortal, all these meaningless side characters dying left and right. "He just talked about his family, he's obviously going to die then"
But when it comes to anyone on the main cast there isn't any danger at all really.
Yeah the comic sounds a lot more brutal, Carl having one eye is pretty major. Can't see them doing that though, unless it skips ahead to him being older or something.
Wonder if this Wolves group is done? Thought they were kinda underwhelming they just showed up and attacked people they didn't really have an antagonistical presence like good ol' Gov'.

Spoiler: click to toggle Glenn's not dead. He wasn't mentioned as dead in the "In Memoriam" segment of Talking Dead, and they almost never screw that segment up. And they especially wouldn't leave it out if it was a legitimate major character death.
I don't like how this series has become so reliant on cliff-hangers. After the episode airs, and we see the following episode, the suspense that they leave us with when it comes to cliff-hangers has absolutely no meaning because we already know what happens. They're more interested in creating drama to keep veiwers tuning in every week than coming up with a fluid story; which is exactly what a soap opera does.
The only character I'm really interested in at this point is Carol.
Almost all others are either no longer interesting, or have been burnt out for a while from a writing standpoint. Rick's personality is either sensitive or psychotic depending on the season. Daryl's character hasn't changed since season 3, and the only reason why he's still on the show is because he rakes in viewers every week.
In addition to this, the fanbase is some of the most obnoxious group of people there is. Kill everyone who isn't a badass... if that were to happen, the show would suck even worse than it does now, and it would be cancelled in three seconds.

Unless what Nagito described transpired there's not really anywhere else for Glenn's character to go anyway.
I don't think him not being on Taking Dead really means anything, he might just be dying next episode not quite yet, he's not exactly had his farewell has he? If they wanted to end on a cliffhanger I doubt they'd leave it that obvious, what would be the point in trying everyone uses Talking Dead as a reference.
