Well I finally got around to finishing season five. I didn't really think it was that great. I think there was too much stuff going on at once especially in the season finale. Sasha and Gabriel have lost their minds though.

Decent start to the series I guess...felt really really long though.
Spoiler: click to toggle I swear to God if that Ron kid put that horn on because of bratty stupid s***, they better kill him. At first I was thinking he was a new actor for Carl  glad he's not he looks even more annoying. Pretty cool to see how they're handling Alexandria, Rick seems to have calmed down a lot now he has Morgan for support in place of Hershel. Though he may not be as wise I guess his being there is almost more meaningful since he's the first person he really encountered in the new world. Hopefully Morgan lasts more than just this season then... Anyway yeah good episode just felt like a maaaaajor info dump, feels like it should have been one and a half episodes. Hopefully those f***ing walls aren't coming down already, surely not. |

It was one and a half episodes, iirc, or close to it; the first episode was extended.
Spoilers for this week's episode Holy crap, this episode was amazing. Rivalling last episode for me (and I absolutely loved last episode). Carol really got to work and it was really interesting to see her and Morgan at odds. I'll post my extended thoughts afterwards.

Yeah but unfortunately that probably means it's gonna run out of steam and come to a spluttering half way through 
Episode 2 spoilers Great episode.
Really f***ing sudden! But great, Carol is so freaking badass she God damn better not die this season.
Daryl? f*** Daryl he can die, whatever. If it means Carol lasts another season I don't care anymore.
So it seems like Morgan isn't quite back from crazy town yet...those dudes are just going to come back with guns sooner or later, unless they have some weird rule against using them. It is odd that virtually every group but them would have bullets.
Also was that blonde guy one of the ones that jumped Morgan or does he have some history with them? I recognize the other dude he fought with but not him.
But yeah...Morgan ain't there yet, he probably needs some Governor esque psycho to change his perspective.
f*** this Ron kid. I just know he's going to make something really really really stupid happen because he can't accept reality, like Glenn or Maggie dying kind of stupid.
I love how Carl looks like 2 feet taller since last season, puberty is a major pain in the a*** for continuity

Didn't like this episode. Too much plot driven crap. Anyone else notice the huge f***ing staircase in the alleyway where Glenn got trapped? The one that was only blocked by a small mattress and some boxes? Yeah that's the sort of s*** I'm referring to. And when everyone decides to hide in that building even though the street only had about four zombies in it? Yeah. Wasn't a fan of this episode.

Yeah...this s*** got spoiled for me already so it was just building up and up until it happened and...come on, so much of this episode was stupid.
If they make him bulls*** his way out of it I will lose all respect for the show.
Spoiler: click to toggle Nevermind that ladder why did Glenn not f***ing leap over that fence to the right? It had no barbed wire on it or zombies on the other side.
Their fight or flight instinct totally failed there.
Utterly s***ty death, how did he even fall with Nick? That was just sad.
People are going crazy over it saying he's not dead, that there's "proof"
Come on...
It's definitely from a weird perspective, like Nick's body is on him but even if that is the case...he's surrounded by hundreds of zombies, has no ammo and is screaming his head off.
He's dead.
No way he'll die but damn Rick is in a s***ty situation too, he looks like he's at breaking point.
Also I hope Morgan gets some backlash for letting those guys go, as we can clearly see that was f***ing stupid. He needs to toughen up or he's gonna be another Tyresse.

Spoilers for the most recent episode. There's no way Glenn is dead. A dark and brutal end like that would fit Kirkman's style, but the whole 'Nicholas redemption' plot-line is still unresolved; somebody has to carry that with them, and who better than Glenn, who tried his best to teach Nicholas how to survive and forgave him? We'll see a darker Glenn past this point. While he disagreed with Rick throughout this episode, after seeing what happened, he'll come around to that point of view, which would lead to an interesting situation between him and Maggie, maybe she'll see him as being too brutal/uncaring. Chances are Nicholas fell on top of Glenn and it was his intestines that we saw, so Glenn could make it if he either tries hiding in that dumpster, makes a break for it through the crowd of walkers or somebody comes out of that locked door to save him.

He'd need someone with a minigun to mow enough of those down to make a difference, unless there's a secret tunnel under that dumpster.
No matter what they will do it'll be stupid.
He should stay dead, they've teased it numerous times now to make this another tease would ruin all meaning.
Really though no way should he survive, if he kept a level head maybe but he's sitting there screaming. Considering how big a point this series has been making about how zombies hear things, surviving in that situation would make no sense.

Spoiler: click to toggle The show has never been realistic, so to expect it to be realistic now isn't fair. Ridiculous coincidences happen all the time in the series. Heck, even in Episode 1, Glenn somehow manages to see the commotion with Rick, getting there just in time to radio him and save his a***.
Kirkman and the other producers are pandering to fans of the comic. The constant teases put everyone on edge and the fact that the TV show is, in some ways, straying so far from the comics means that Glenn's death could come way sooner or way later than everyone expected.
Nicotero did a great job with the angles of that scene, but the fact that the intestines were coming from Glenn's upper chest indicated that they're not his. Especially considering we see Glenn fall underneath Nicholas. Why would they show that if they're just going to kill Glenn like that anyway?
Glenn still has a lot of potential as a character, so remember; it's a story first. If the story the writers have planned need Glenn alive, he'll be alive. Hate if for being unrealistic, that's fine, but the series has always been about the human characters and their stories.
