I haven't read the comics, but I've read synopsis of the plot in the comics. Anyone else who knows about the comics pick up on the significance of a certain character's recurring interactions with a certain object this season?
Spoiler: click to toggle First at Terminus, Glenn's weapon of choice was a baseball bat. In Noah's neighborhood, Glen picks up a baseball bat when they're looting a house, in which he was talking to Rick about wanting to kill people regardless of what they've done. Those who have read the comics can piece together the significance between Glenn and baseball bats.
Sorry if it's been mentioned. I'm too lazy to skim through.

I hadn't noticed that, I'm interested to see if they'll actually go there. It depends how closely they follow the comics, I know they've went away from them in the past.
The new episode was a little slow at times but I liked it overall.

First episode of the series I've enjoyed so far. Something is definitely up with that place.
I got the sense that everything that happened was carefully planned.

Spoiler: click to toggle Another great episode! Alexandria is great, but it's obvious that the people there just aren't survival-minded. Apart from Deanne's son, the other guy, Deanne herself and the girl that Carl met, it doesn't seem like any of them have much experience at all when it comes to fighting walkers and surviving, which is absolutely great. Every single character we've met up until this point has been shaped by the New World, yet here we see characters who're successfully emulating the Old World. Brings in a host of new things they can do now.

read at your own risk Wtf Rick shaves his beard!
Good episode so far about 10 mins left for me.
Spoiler: click to toggle I hope there's nothing wrong with the place, it needs to just go wrong, walls fall down or something.
Them all being cannibals or crazy will be so dull.
A few can go nuts like the angry dude but the whole community shouldn't be evil that'd suck, way too obvious.
Been a coo change of scenery so far though, people getting washed, baby prams, video games. The normality is great and weird even though it's normal.
Wonder if someone heard that "take this place" bit. If they have video cameras microphones aren't a stretch, or those directional ones again.

Spoiler: click to toggle Me too, but maybe that's the point... everyone has been so damaged that they've become so paranoid that they think it's a trap and they take over. Either that or this is one big set up that's going to make Rick go all Rambo on them and kill everyone there.

Spoiler: click to toggle Kind of a boring episode. This seems like a season where Carl is going to become annoying again. This place is also too good to be true. There's something fishy going on. It seems way too perfect.

Spoiler: click to toggle I'm as big a Carl hater as you'll find, but that scene when he's hanging out with the kids and gets overwhelmed by how 'normal' everything is there was pretty powerful, and made me hate him less.
I'm liking the 2nd half of the season so far, even if it has been a little slow. I think it's been more about character development than anything, and it's been interesting seeing everybody's reactions to finding out about the camp and how much they want it, and then being in the camp itself. However, as a fan of the show, I know this isn't going to last, so I'm waiting to see what's gonna f*** it up for them.

Spoiler: click to toggle Yeah I liked that too it was cool seeing him so out of his element...but I fear the worst also.
Especially with a girl around, he's probably at that age he's already done one stupid thing just to follow her around. I can just see him stealing something for her so that they can be rebellious and then that's going to stir up s*** in the community.
We haven't really got to what their punishments for crime are yet some dude got exiled...how many others though.
I can see it being like if you do anything significantly bad they'll kick you out or beat you, something the main group won't agree with anyway imagine Rick's reaction if they said Carl had to leave?
Well, to be honest I want this to happen in a way but I won't respect Carl for being a complete fool. It would be better than then being cannibals/complete psycho's, we just did that.

Spoiler: click to toggle Didn't the last episode end with Rick saying that if things didn't work out there, they'd just take the town for themselves? If they try to exile one of the group, that's probably what would happen :P

Spoiler: click to toggle At what cost though...
Maybe they won't be as weak as they appear that first guy they met was fine on his own. There's obviously some secrets to the place that might throw a spanner in to the works.
I wonder how many people there are in the place, doesn't seem nearly as many as Woodbury.

Spoiler: click to toggle At the very end of the episode when Rick said something along the lines of "If these people can't keep up, we'll just take this place," I actually got chills. This episode was really well done. I'm just hoping Negan doesn't come in until season 6 because I've been enjoying the lack of a big bad villain for the time being.
