I had a feeling they would do that whole scenario with cutting off someones limb to save them this season. I just didnt expect it to be so soon or to be on Herschel. As soon as he got bit, I knew it was going to happen.

Question is will Hershell survive? If not cause of the zombie virus, some other infection? Loss of blood? So many Zombie kills, so much tension between Rick and Laurie

I loved the whole nine months time skip, get to see the characters more adapted and more useful. Rick still angry at Lauri on how she treated him. The time skip was great, it allows them to do so much more now with all the characters, very promising season

Yes I was not expecting that, but love it as well. Im kind of sad that Herschel is now essentially going to be a crip.. I liked him. One thing that I dont like is Carls ever growing presence. I dont like him in the comics or the TV show..

Its what I love about this show nobody is save and making Hershel a cripple adds emotion and shock element, it's first time we see someone get a limb cut off to stop spreading. At least Carl seems less annoying than last season

I loved this Episode...when Rick saw the Prison yard, then at the Prison it's self, I was talking to the Tv saying "Oh yeah...that's right Rick, take the Prison!"

I knew as soon as Herschel stepped over that one Zombie that he was getting bit, but I kept saying "No, no, no...don't let it be Herschel!"

A great start to Season 3...loved the amount of Zombie kills too.

I like how much they've all changed there's a lot less hesitation in their actions they know what needs to be done(except Carl, god I hate hate him...)
It will be pretty difficult for Lori to give birth safely if Hershel dies...
Health of the group in general will be harder to maintain too.


End of last season got me thinking...if they are all infected already, why does getting bitten turn them? It doesn't really make much sense.
Also amputation wouldn't really work not sure if they'll factor that in to the story but Hershel should be doomed.

Here is my guess to the infection thing, they carry it buys only goes active when they die. Getting bit however would start spreading it right there. In the comics there is a character which the same thing happens, they cut off his leg and he lives

Blood gets pumped round your whole body in less than one heartbeat so unless it was an almost instant amputation a person would still be infected, in real life anyway.

I guess the activated virus could trigger a reaction with the dormant virus within everyone that's not a walker. That makes sense not sure why I never thought of it like that before lol.

what Laurie was saying does have a point, if baby dies in her it'll most likely come back as a zombie
