I think that goes with real life. Just because Spoiler: click to toggle someone may sacrifice themselves for something it might turn out to be meaningless. I don't mind when things like this happen. For all I know we might not even see the Governor next season. Regardless, I'm happy with the direction it's taking.

Spoiler: click to toggle It wasn't a good finale, but wasn't a bad episode either. I didn't like how Andrea was killed off, didn't really feel emotional about either. That's because I was sure as hell that she'd survive. I guess I thought it was a cop out to have her killed when she actually survived months on her own against hundreds of walkers. I like the spin on Carl killing the boy, he's sorta of turning into a Shane 2.0. Also does anyone feel like that scientist on the CDC was right all along? Hell both Andrea(who choose to leave) and Dale(who saved her from the explosion) are now dead. How about that entire storyline being pointless? I'm not that excited for next season, if it ends up having to do with the Governor again.

There's a new show runner for next season, sure I'm sure something's are going to be handled differently.

Spoiler: click to toggle This was one of the best episodes ever. Seeing the Governor losing it was amazing. He'd finally had enough; the pent-up rage of Penny dying and being pushed back by people who *should* have no chance at all made him snap. It was very fitting. It's interesting, because you could tell that it wasn't exactly something that he'd want to do. He seemed genuinely angry that the Prison group had killed so many of their people. Then, afterwards, he was trying to get his mind straight, trying to comprehend what he'd done. Very realistic, I can't wait to see how the remaining two act. Martinez looked scared as hell, I feel as though he may run away. Andrea's death was almost reflecting the new world. She cared about Milton so much that she talked to him during his final moments instead of working to get herself out; her getting attached to the people at Woodbury ended up sealing her demise. Gurira did a magnificent job, you could really feel the emotion in the scene. Holden shouldn't be forgotten either, she handled the scene perfectly. TYREESE! I was so happy to see that he had a big role in this episode. Being the only one to stand up to the Governor in Woodbury. I was honestly scared when I saw the gunfight between him and Rick, Daryl & Michonne. He's at the Prison now, that's a good sign. Carl! Damn, Carl, he's a pragmatist. Sure, he's becoming more like Shane, but he's seen the failures of Rick's moralistic approach to situations. Hershel's right to be worried, but it was the best thing Carl could've done in the situation. Spoilers for Volume 13 of the Graphic Novel I think we're going to be seeing the horde soon. There's no way that the gunfight didn't attract the attention of loads of walkers. They may take a while to get there, but once they are...oh man. Also, the Governor happening across something similar to the Hilltop Community is a possibility, in my opinion. Spoilers for Volume 17 of the Graphic Novel There's a chance that we could be seeing Negan and the Saviours next season, something which I'd be really happy about. Or, they may take a completely different approach. However, I don't think they can take out Negan from the entire TV series, though, he's such an integral part of the GN right now.

Spoiler: click to toggle I'm mildly impressed after finishing the series.
I oftentimes don't give TWD much credit, and am a huge Breaking Bad fan. However, the death of Merle really shocked me. I did not see that coming. I totally called Andrea and Milton dying. O have wanted the shallow and overly dramatic character of Andrea to die off since season 1. Merle was unprecedented however because of his recent character development so I applaud them for that. Rick going crazy seems like it wasn't done very well in my opinion. Also, the Governor is absolutely unlikable as a character and doesn't have much dimension to his character, other than being a lying sociopath.
The only characters that have honestly had some depth to their character are Rick, Shane, Daryl and Merle could have. Don't get me wrong, I like characters like Michonne and Herschel, but, they just seem really bland. Glen has lost a lot of what made him dynamic and really took a nosedive in season 3.
All in all, I felt it was too predictable and Merle's death is the only one that caught me off guard, which is probably why they killed him off. Brilliantly executed, unfortunately though obviously he is done. The Governor really sucks and needs to die. He gets away with too much s*** and seems almost superhuman at this point.

Sooo... The Walking Dead season 4! My thoughts so far:
The pacing is supposed to be a lot better this season. It's supposed to be a gradual build-up in tension versus what we saw in season 3, which was basically the opposite. Spoiler: click to toggle The death of the kid at the end is obviously related to the death of the pig, so there must be some sort of virus going on that isn't connected to the zombie infection. All hell is going to break lose next episode. Someone's gonna die.

Pretty good season premiere.
Spoiler: click to toggle I've got a bad feeling about Daryl this season. He seems like the perfect person for the governor to murder upon his return.
Imagine the impact it would have if the governor killed Daryl right in front of everyone. Considering Daryl is like this super human in the eyes of everyone in the group.

Spoiler: click to toggle I think a mutation has happened to the Walker virus (or whatever it is exactly), where it can be spread now by becoming airborne. It seems to make sense. The pig died, and the kid turned without getting bitten. For all we know, it could be spread through bodily fluids, or perhaps animals are able to contract the disease now too. If he ate some food that was infected, it makes sense why he'd get sick and turn.
I actually wondered why it wasn't a bloodborne pathogen in the first place. If someone's killing walkers, and gets walker blood in their mouth or eyes, it never made sense to me why they never got sick or turned.

When in doubt... swine flu.

I just want to see Carl and Beth be a couple but I guess they would need a recast for Carl then? Either way love this series and glad it is back again. If this episode was any indication this will be the best season yet.

Pretty good premiere.
Spoiler: click to toggle I think the virus is in the water. There's a trailer going around here where Hershel says (among a bunch of other things) "If you take a drink of water, you risk your life." Given that one of the opening shots was Rick splashing water on his face and they focused on the water coming out of the shower head at the end, my guess is that's what I causing it. Definitely some kind of sickness though, because the kid did say he was ill earlier on.
Gah, that thing with the woman Rick found was kind of obvious though, as soon as she said she had an off-screen husband I could tell they were going for the contrast. It wasn't terrible but yeah....
Also can someone explain to me why Rick doesn't want to carry a gun all of a sudden? Is it because he doesn't want to encourage Carl or something? Not quite getting it. Also I noticed that one of the zombies had no eyes and that kid was bleeding out of his eyes at the end, so this is obviously something brought in to the prison from the outside.
