Season 3 is going to consist of Sixteen episodes and will be primarily set in the Prison that was seen in the end of the last episode of season 2. Rumours are that certain characters are returning and its confirmed that the 'antagonist' for lack of a better word, is 'The Governor', a prominent character in the graphic novels. They've recently released a poster for season three;



Looks very dark, plus we get a good look at the swordswoman that we saw in the last episode.

Rick being the centre of the poster is an obvious shout-out to the loss of his hand in my opinion, I mean you see neither of his arms and if its going to happen, the producers don't want new viewers to know until it actually happens. Also, is it just me or does Rick look a lot more like his GN counterpart now? He's got a very serious face and its sort of menacing. Although Shane died, I think he'll still be playing a prominent role through his affect on Rick's psyche, I mean the same night that Rick killed Shane, he transformed into a dictator-style leader, mirroring Shane's wish of control over the group. The guy on the right in the poster is the Governor I think, and they've done a pretty good job casting him, he'll play the role very well. However, we've had no hint of Tyreese appearing at all and the lack of Dale means that the show's going to take a sharp turn from the base material once again. They also did a good job in casting Michonne, the way they presented her at the end of season 2 captured her mysterious nature perfectly. I have to ask though, do you think Daryl's replacing Tyreese? I mean, he's taken the role as Carol's love interest in my opinion and it would make a lot of sense.

For going dictator all of a sudden. Throughout the whole show, he does everything, trying to please everyone, trying to always do the right thing, but yet everyone always keep getting on his face. I cannot blame him, he's fed up with them and he's right he's done so much for all of them

But im still pissed about Shanes death in the TV show.
