I don't hate it but I certainly don't like it. It was all just so rushed and I didn't really like most of the plot element either. I don't know anyone who likes the whole going through space thing, Baby Saga was ok but it went by too quickly really. Super 17 was confusing and some of the biggest BS i've ever seen was in that saga. I've said my feelings of the Shadow Dragons multiple times in that I don't like the concept, but even going with that many of them were poorly designed and the fights weren't very entertaining. Also, Goku as a child again It was fine to have it for the first arc so they could have the Dragon Ball feel but after SSJ4 he should have just gone back to normal. The animation was a step back from the Buu Saga and there was just too many characters that didn't have a chance to shine. The positives however:1. SSJ4 Gogeta: EPIC! 2. Android 17 being involved: Yeah I didn't like Super 17's arc or concept but I liked having 17 involved again and in truth S17 was pretty cool. 3. Baby's origin and just what he did in that arc really. Could have used some expansion obviously. There's probably more but I'm not in the mood to think of them. |
We'll never be those kids again

Because GT has no violence/gore like DBZ has. Most of us liked DBZ for that, while GT is...well, a child's play, and I don't refer to CHUCKY:)) |

Yep, this is just about where I stopped watching too. I've seen various clips of the other sagas, but personally, they just don't seem all that interesting to me. |

I Disagree, The DBGT they aired in Canada showed alot of violent images. Such as Bebi's skin being blown off, or Goku punching through Eis Shenron |

I personally don't hate it, I just think in comparison it is a much weaker show. They don't show how they grow in power by training, or the old-school ways of DB and DBZ as Goku had to travel to Master Roshi's, then King Kai's, and then trained in the Other World. It took time and we could watch the characters grow and develop. Plus the series before included most of the characters unlike GT. GT threw them in a corner and didn't touch on them. The chemistry between Gohan and Videl, the fusion of Goten and Trunks, the comic relief of Krillen or Roshi, etc. DBGT cut out what made DBZ and Dragonball so much fun to watch and the fights became lame because only a few characters actually could participate. Also, the ending sucked as well. Ah look at that , ANOTHER SPIRIT BOMB :@. Now where have I seen that? Also suddenly time-skipping 100 years and killing off everyone but Pan made me angry that everyone else was left out. Oh and look Goku (Jr) and Vegeta (Jr) can both go Super Saiyan? WHAT?

Just as what GridZero mentioned, every time I play the DVD, I gotta force myself to stop vommiting. Thanks to GT, thanks to TOEI. DB & DBZ have this feel/atmosphere surrounding. I dunno if its Toriyama's soul or what. DragonBall reminds me each time whenever I watch that I'm watching a show that's classic. Its obviously dated, but I know that its a genuine action-adventure series. It retains some pure innocence & freshness that most show's or anime's today lack. DBZ on the other hand gives me the feeling of epic. For instance, who would've guessed the show's main protagonist to die just like that protecting his kid by 5th or 6th episode. Thats insane! GT on the other hand, uarghhh!! |

The colors and the backgrounds of DBZ were much better, made the show pretty and well done. The colors and background for GT were much darker and alienated things. |

You mean the animation bro? I agree wif you. The entire SSJ4 Goku vs Nuova Shenron & SSJ4 Goku vs Syn took place around blue buildings. The entire landscape was filled the blue buildings & Goku simply fires his X10 kamehameha randomly to Earth. Sh***!! |

Exactly!! The characters became more powerful but the fights were less extreme. Remember the fight between Goku and Freeza that was so immense it literally blew the whole planet up? Then the fight with Cell and Goku had many times less destruction and immensity than the fights in the Freeza saga, and the fight between Goku and villains in GT had less environmental destruction than the fight between Goku and Piccolo vs Raditz. Hell, even the fight between Goku and Piccolo in Dragonball was more immense and had more environmental destruction than the fights in DBGT. That is one of the big illogical plotholes of both DBZ and DBGT. Edited by Mr. Popo, Jul 19 2012, 02:04 PM.
