Google Chrome and Firefox	I know someone who would love this topic haha. I did play FF7 somewhat, but I watched the play through instead. I did watch the movie as well and it was pretty awesome. My favorite characters are Tifa and Sid. Sid is so bad ***! He always makes me laugh. It was so unfortunate that he was barely in the movie. It's kinda dumb though how they are remaking 10 and have yet to talk about an ff7 remake. I'd definitely would play it if it came out. As of now, I have to go finish FF13-2. Firefox	I never really played it, but I watched my dad play FF7 A LOT and FF8 too I think (if FF8 is the one with Squall and the gunblade) It looked good, but I never was able to play it seeing as I was like 4 or 5 years old at the time. I remember it came in a bulky PS1 case and had a cigarette burn over Cloud's head. I also remember a large black man with guns and my dad always telling me how he was one of the only people in the world to kill every boss in the game and he spent months doing it... I don't believe him seeing how popular the game is :P Anyways, I still got to finish FF13 ( I wuv Lightning!) but Barthandelus is the hardest damn boss in any game I've ever played... I swear it can't be done...

Google Chrome Favourite Manga Berserk	Yes a remake would be amazing! My favorite is Cloud (typical right? lol) but Tifa is right there next to him. I always used Tifa and Vincent in my team with Cloud. Best three characters in the game IMO.

Seriously I think this game has one of my favourite soundtracks in history. My favourite character is Cid, followed by Barret and then Cloud. I'd love a remake of the game but I don't really have any consoles to play it on unfortunately.

Google Chrome and Firefox	I think the best part of the game is the fact that there is soooo much to do. I think that's why people don't like Final Fantasy as much as they used too. In the newer ones, you can't explore as much as you could in FF7 and even in FF8.

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	The reason I don't like the new ones is because of how much they are aimed at Japanese girls instead of teenage boys like the older ones were. You only have to look at how the style of the main protaganists has changed since Final Fantasy 9 to see that. I heard Final Fantasy 7 was coming to Steam? It's not exactly a remake but I expect to see enhanced graphics. The reason they haven't remade 7 is because they don't know how. It's a completely different company to what it used to be. All they know how to do know is make everything pink and girly. I hate all the bull***** they talk about in cutscenes on the new ones too. No doubt they'd throw a load of that in a remake as well. Best off just leaving it as it is since they'd likely ruin it.

Google Chrome and Firefox	Okay, I see your point in some aspects that the new Final Fantasies are more pink and girly, but I still think the fact that you can't explore like you could in FF7 and 8 is a downgrade. I'm a girl so I don't find the new final fantasies that bad besides the fact that you can't explore as much as you could with the old ones. It's also cool to see a female main character like Lightning. Final Fantasy 10 was pretty cool and I think it had enough manliness in it for people to enjoy. I also think people enjoyed that battle system. With every final fantasy, there are always those couple of characters that are annoying. This is the ff7 appreciation thread so I won't name my favorite Final Fantasy. Tifa > Aerith I'm sorry by Aerith was sooooooooooo annoying.

They keep talking about doing it then backing off, I don't blame them for not, it would be an immense project, they'd also need to update everything without changing it, people would throw a hissy fit if they changed anything... I love FF7 and I would buy a remake but it's understandable that they're not going to do it. FFX is being touched up iirc, not remade properly, it's a lot easier to do it for that game than FF7 though!

Posts: 1,998 Group: Member Member #7,432 Joined: March 11, 2012	I remember for my tenth birthday my parents didn't know what to buy me so I think they asked my brothers and got me Final Fantasy 7. I wasn't really into rpgs at the time, I was really into adventure games like Banjo Kazooie and Spyro the Dragon and sort of was like what's this lol. My brother loved them though and scooped it right up and played it. I never really tried any final fantasy games until recently because I would watch my brothers play them when we were kids and saw most of the endings. I got it on psn last year though and was really fun. Haven't finished it yet because I got really sad when Cloud got sick that I stopped playing it for a while.
