I have SPC and SSJ2 Kid Gohan as equals. Goku said for Gohan to use his full power and not worry about any damage to the Earth, yet he still needed Vegeta's distraction to overpower Cell's Kamehameha. Plus, who's to say that Cell wasn't going all out during the clash? for vegetas final flash to not hurt cell and just distract him, i figured that he would have to be at full power in order to tank it like he did. Goku did see an opportunity, but cell is a computer. he never lost sight of his objective or his target. Looking around and all that is nothing as long as he keeps doing what he was doing. and what he was doing was overpowering a gohan who had faltered in his mind, and lost all hope. so for cell to be stronger than gohan, makes no sense if the final push gohan gave was to much for cell to handle. He couldnt. if cell was able to fight it even just a little it would be clear that it was an attack of opportunity, but he couldnt even fight it. Couldnt push it back, couldnt deny it. He got swallowed whole, and his CPU was destroyed. Even his own self destruction didnt do that. Thats why i have gohan stronger than cell.

Gohans power is deeper that thought. even gohan didnt know. all there is to it. deep down for that final push was ALL of gohans power, SPC couldnt fight it. At all, he blew up and away, devastated gohan still had so much more power, to not only match his, but go beyond. They were both at maximum, and cell confidence was built on the fact that he had hurt gohan and broke his arm. The only person that knew better was goku. The only one. Vegeta knew better or else he wouldn't risk attacking Cell. He gave him the window and was the only one to do so in the manga. The thing is Cell could have won had Gohan wusses out and kept being down on himself, but then Vegeta gave him a split second to end it like Goku gave Piccolo with Raditz, and Gohan said screw it and took his shot,

No one but goku even noticed what he did anyways, not even in the anime did anyone but goku see it.
