One of the better movies I've seen so far this year though

Most of the complaints being about the lack of humour and romance. Shouldn't the action be the main focus in a Superman movie anyway?

Black Knight Posts: 8,697 Group: Retired Staff Member #1,874 Joined: November 5, 2006 Favourite Anime Code Geass, Death Note, Dragonball/Z	See it's funny since I've always been the one too unsure about seeing this movie as I have never been a big Superman fan, with that said I absolutely loved this movie, this is what I want from comic book based movies, a lot of intense action. I don't like reading comics for romance, or drama, but because of the action and the bunch of destruction, that was a reason why I loved the Avengers even though it didn't have a complex plot, the action was brilliant and I still think it's the best comic book based movie, with that said I think Man of Steel is giving it a good run for it's money, the action was amazing, the effects were really good, and yeah the action throughout the whole movie was just awesome.

FF Favourite Manga Naruto	I went in with low hopes for this movie, at first I was indeed excitied to see it but eventually I was forced to recall that I was excited like this for Superman Returns. But Man Of Steel is no Superman Returns! This is the movie that every Superman fan has been dying to see for the past few years. It was fantastic and blew me away. It wasn't overloaded with humor, senseless references or anything of that nature. It was a tale of the birth of Superman and the fall of his home planet. I'm a diehard Avengers fan who can watch the film several times a month, and while Superman isn't Avengers...It's it's own great sueprhero film. The fight scenes were great and while some were screaming foul at the end, it was a necessary development for the character and story overall. The bigger picture is what's important and this movie was one that delivered.

Just what I wanted from a Soup movie. The fight scenes reminded me why a live action Dragon Ball Z movie would be great if done right.

The bit where is learning to fly faster and he crashed through the mountain reminded me of scenes in DBZ when guys would get hit in the air and fly to the ground and break through s***.

The speed at which they were fighting each other and even the fighting style reminded me of Z. So what's the deal with all the hate towards the ending?
