For years now, Pokemon has been an iconic image and staple of the gaming industry. Originating with the innovative Red / Green, it has brought us fun gameplay that involves strategy and skill. The most recent addition to this series is Pokemon Black and Pokemon White and whilst they attempt to return to the origins of the game, they make major changes that are both beneficial and detrimental to the enjoyment and general quality of the game. Gameplay Visual sound Plot Final Verdict : 8/10 These are very good games. The visuals, gameplay and sound all contribute to its quality and success and there are many other positive tidbits that are very enjoyable. However, what stops this from having a higher score is two things; 1) Pokemon Musical - This is a flimsy minigame at best. In comparison to the Contests in the previous generations, this just fails; there's no pay off and its rather unenjoyable 2) No older Pokemon - Until you beat the Elite Four, you're forced to use Unova region Pokemon. This is an attempt to replicate the first Pokemon games but the fact that there are so many popular older Pokemon that are inaccessible mean that the game suffers. |

Yeah, that would be a really good idea. It would allow people to lean the game in easy, play it normally in normal and play pseudo-competitively in hard mode. I think they could do it, although it'd be very difficult. |

I still need to complete Black and White 1, lol. Eitherway, the gameplay doesn't mean to much to me, if it plays like a pokemon game, I'll play it, I don't care about not having certain pokemon or silly minigames. |

Would have been better if we had more gym leaders to fight...I'd think they would take a page out of HeartGold or SoulSilver and give us a total of 16 badges and 8 additional gym leaders to face off along with the ability to take calls from other trainers and be challenged again. Won't be picking up Black 2 or White 2. Unless of course it has the features above. |

Black 2 and White 2 has a new mode called ''World Championship'' where apparently you can fight Kanto Gym Leaders, Johto Gym Leaders, Hoenn Gym Leaders and Sinnoh Gym Leaders as well as the champion of each region. |

Thanks man. That's an awesome team! You've got brilliant type coverage and the Pokemon you chose have great movepools. |

So in WC mode, you basically get access to every gym throughout the series? |

I don't believe you get access to the Gyms themselves, you just get to fight the Gym Leaders; the battles take place on a stage. Also, I think its an actual tournament bracket method so you won't get to choose, although I'm not sure of that. |
