Boo Saga Discrepancies

Thala na Gethu!

As far as I've watched DBZ & read its manga, the content of Saiyan, Frieza & Cell Saga stayed true to its canon.

But nothin came off as jarring as Boo Saga sequences & as we all knew it, the connections came off rather stupid.

Ex: Cell Saga.

Both anime & manga reflected the same. MSSJ Gohan>>>MSSJ Goku

Ex: Frieza Saga.

Anime & manga: SSJ Goku>>>Frieza

My question is,

Why da heck Boo Saga has 2 alternate versions. I'm sure you got my point.

Manga: Mystic Gohan>>>>>>SSJ3 Goku

Anime: SSJ Goku>>>>>>Mystic Gohan

Whats the reason for this? I'm sure there's more than TOEI's response to Goku fanboys or TOEI=Goku fanboys

While in Cell Saga, Goku fanboys could prefer Gohan over Goku, what gone wrong here?

Could it be DBZ's popularity compelled TOEI to ignore Toriyama's canon? A disrespect?

Or was Boo Saga immensely popular in Japan that it forced TOEI to take things into their hands?

The biggest problem with determining who's really stronger is the fact that they didn't fight the same opponent for a long enough time to see who was better. SS3 Goku attacked Super Buu for like 2 seconds and then ran, whereas Gohan fought him and nearly won. SS3 Goku fought Kid Buu and nearly lost. It's pretty much impossible to see who would win, and to add to the problem is the differences of the fight lengths. The manga never accurately shows how long the fights are, and in the anime the 1 minute is a whole episode. So yeah.

Honestly? I think TOEI dropped the ball (or picked up the idiot ball) with this one.

The only thing which causes the discrepancy (as far as I'm aware) is the fight inside Super Buu where in the Japanese dub Goku says the ghoul Gohan is as strong as real Gohan. That's it.

For me it's ridiculous and small and petty and I basically brush it under the carpet and say it was a mistake...or just ignore the Japanese dub. Even if we take the English dubs I've seen you can handwave it easily, the only problem is literally that single instance and none of it makes sense anyway.
