This is a breakdown of every Super Saiyan 2 user in all of DragonBall. Nappa is our first one to demonstrate the form, I kid, I kid. Here we are going to breakdown the traits of Super Saiyan 2. And the differences between AT and TOEI. Traits for AT (The Manga) [ul]1) Electricity Click 2) More violent aura than Super Saiyan Click 3) Spikier hair Click 4) Squinty Eyes Click [/ul] Traits for TOEI (Anime Only) [ul]1) Paler skin than Super Saiyan 2 than Super Saiyan 1 Click 2) Squinty eyes Click 3) Spikier Hair Click 4) More violent aura Click [/ul] Note, TOEI's traits for SSJ2 DO NOT include electricity. They have a good majority of their SSJ2s who have electricity, but they also have SSJs with electricity several times. As well as SSJ 2's without electricity. Electricity should not be the determinant factor for TOEI, unlike with AT. The Paler Skin, is number one determinant for TOEI IMO, along with the other ones mentioned... Let's go through the breakdown. Gotenks is not even aware he has SSJ2. Anime Manga [/ul] {This is debatable to some) This is more of a rough draft, just to get it up here. This is a huge , huge issue in DB world, and this thread will be very helpful. I think it's important for everyone to be aware of the differences between SSJ and SSJ2. It will help many debates across the fandom, and I have never seen such a good breakdown as how you guys broke it down for me during that debate. All other Posters, Please post pictures and screenshots of the timetable I presented! Just put it in your post, and we will copy it somehow. I don't know how to do any of that If I missed any other SSj2s let me know. Wasn't Goku SSJ2 against Fat Janemba as well? Vegeta in Movie 13? I know very clearly that Gohan was NOT SSJ2 against Dabura so please do not even try to convince me other wise. Sound familiar? |

I'd say the bang is much more defined/sharp as SSJ2 over Enraged. Gohan is clearly SSJ2 at Dabura/Boo's egg in my eyes. |

 Sorry for the discrepancy in size for some of them. Differences: ~ Gohan at Dabra generally shows more trapezoid-like/squinty eyes ~ Gohan at Dabra has smaller pupils in general, HOWEVER, MSSj Gohan's eyes are shown to dilate depending on how serious he is in the fight [look at MSSj Gohan at Goten eyes in the very bottom right corner of the picture, where his pupils become smaller because he is fighting more seriously], so this might just be because Gohan was very serious throughout the fight with Dabra ~ The eyebrows are more rigid and straight in Gohan at Dabra than they are at Gohan at Goten. Similarities: ~ Like I said, MSSj Gohan's eyes in the bottom right corner of the picture looks very similar to Gohan's eyes at Dabra  Again, sorry for fluctuating size/quality Similarities: ~ Golden Fighter Gohan and Gohan at Gohan both have two bangs, and about the same style of hair in how spiky it is. A fluctuation, however, is the picture of MSSj Gohan's (at Goten) hair in the middle right of the MSSj Gohan at Goten section Differences: ~ Gohan at Dabra has only one bang ~ Gohan at Dabra had more spiky and detailed hair (except for the fluctuation in MSSj Gohan's hair in the middle right of the Gohan at Goten section) And just for a bit more reference, here's a clear picture of Golden Fighter Gohan's face, MSSj Gohan at Goten's face, and Gohan at Dabra's face.

I still say the hair is way to inconsistent. It always had one bang from the Budokai onwards and during the actual fights themselves (Vs Dabura and Buu) it's constantly changing from tamer MSSj to wilder SSj2 styled hair. Nice one with the eyes though. Edited by Clearin, Jun 9 2012, 11:59 PM.

Thanks, another thing about Gohan's eyes at Dabra are that the eyebrows are also thinner, not just more rigid. About the hair, the only thing I'm iffy about is the two bangs/one bang, that's a bit random at times. However, Gohan's hair at Dabra is spikier and more detailed than Golden Fighter Gohan's and MSSj Gohan's (at Goten) hair at least 60 or 70 percent of the time.
