Posts: 176 Group: Member Member #3,988 Joined: February 16, 2009	Well, if the monotheistic "male god" religions caused so much sexism, then why did female Pharaohs of the Ancient Egyptian culture have to be portrayed as men constantly? They had a pretty varied pantheon (I mean, most of them weren't even human. You don't see diversity like that today.) And still, the very first female Pharaoh was always represented to look, but not be, male. She never pretended to be a man, she just absolutely had to appear to be another male Pharaoh to the populace or they would reject her.

Female/male pharoah? you need to cite names and sources if you please. i just used the greek pantheon because they arent god specific. They can worship ANy of the gods they please without recognizing any of the others, and they did. Sexism has a huge basis in supposed "orders" of society, but like i said, and what better example for BRED sexism IS there than the catholic sect? as a former catholic i can attest to this personally. an almost promoted and bred DISTRUST of females, and the lowering of their status in the home. Hunter/ gatherer homemaker/ cook its a male female dynamic. Its such a simple formula that it can only be blamed on nature. mans first rules of law were made up based on simple instinct. Once reason set in , we started having intelligent thought come up with things like the ten commandments, which to this DAY is a doctrine ANYONE can live by, and not be a christian. Just saying. Google Chrome Favourite Manga Spam section	Well in religion male and female all worship the same way in the worshiping grounds except women cant lead the prayers like rabbi's preist's or imams they are all males unfortunate for the other sex right/ But in mongolia in the past women would sometimes be the head of the house or tribe when there isn't a strong male leader in the tribe or house what about all the strong women in vietnams past? sometimes women take on jobs men cant handle or when a egyptian queen ruled all of egypt by herself she was much stronger than cleopatra in leadership that people idolised her to be a man And i do agree because christianity blames eve for being kicked out of garden of eden because she is a women who led adam to disarray and i know this sounds a bit harsh. If women in the past done more or somewere in the stone age the women started complaining why they are always in hut or not aloud to go on dangerous hunting games. But women did contribute allot in hunting games then how did this begun? So being a hunter gatherer is a role anyone can take. Thats a man made rule.

In some cultures women are less than nothing, a piece of property, in others only women can be rulers. Its all up to people how they want to live, most of the time between two people? they decide who "wears the pants" not society. But societies doctrines arent to be exploited according to th majority. Look at gay marriage, the hardcore die hard christians use a man and a woman for being two domestic life partners. is it because one of the men takes the role of the "woman" that makes it unacceptable? who knows, but its between them HOW they choose to live. man made rules have destroyed this world as a whole, but survives because some people like to change the rules. Both my daughters mother and i work, she does work for the mariners. WE decided that in todays world it was impractical to be stupid and live off of ONE persons income to survive. She has a friend who is in a relationship thats the exact opposite. her and her man live traditionally, thats how they like it. personally i think its ridiculous, but it makes the world go round. in more ways than one i can name how women are equal and or superior in most things, but then again, if there werent MEANT to be any differences? there wouldnt be. Both want to make money, and ok that's fine with me but then that's where a lot of problems starts. Who's going to take care of the kids? Oh let's get a Nanny and record her every move, so you have some one else take care of your kids. Pick a role, and play it, that simple. I want to be responsible for my own family, I don't want to hire someone to take care of my kids unless it really has to be done.
