Hi all! My name is Rod, I'm a : - IT Professional (Software development) - Art Director - Musician (piano, guitar, drums, bass) - Orchestral Composer - 3D animator, rigger and modeler. - Film director - and.. a big fan of Dragon Ball. So I came across with this crazy idea of creating some new OVAS (fan made) for dragon ball.. by using some of my abilities that I mention before. However, I want to ask you, the following: - How should this saga be named? (I guess AF is not a good option) - What should be the main subject? (I want to focus on a short issue, so it is realistically to achieve, that's why I want up to 10 ovas, instead of a complete series). - Which are the main characters you would like to see? To show you I'm serious on this one, I'll share some of my plan: - I'll create a blog to keep the project followers informed with screenshots, draws and some other assests. - I'll plan to create a complete OST that will be available to download. About 6 songs, following the standard tone of Dragon Ball Z and GT. - The OVAs will be in standard 2D, widescreen, HD. - I'll use some 3D envioments and models to make this modern. - The animation will be done with a 2D Vector Software (Anime Studio), and layered trough a video processing software (Premier). - I'll need people to help me with voice casts!.. By no means I'll do all the voices myself. - I'll need a focus group (made up by fans) to discuss the Script and the Story Board. I'm looking forward your comments!! Rod |

Nice to meet you Rod. That's quite the undertaking and I'm sure it'll be great no matter what the saga is centered around because you sound so passionate about it. I'm not the most creative person around but here are some ideas - Center it around Future trunks and his world's future following his return to his own time and defeating Future Cell and the future androids. Possibly majin buu or maybe an entirely new villian - Center it around Goku Jr and his adventures a 100 years later. I'm currently trying to write a fan fiction about this idea but the reception to Goku being a child again in GT wasn't the best so idk how others would feel about this. Best of luck and am really looking forward to seeing your project |

Hi Sora! Pleased to meet you. I've been leading several game development in my current work including cut scenes.. and almost every time I see the final result I used to think: "This knowledge can be used to create more Dragon Ball.." I know this is a very big undertaking.. And I'm taking it very serious. I do not want a poor video.. with poor animations... I don't want.. by no means, to insult the saga! Both of your suggestion are great! Jr Goku is a nice idea, maybe the only drawback is that, I think most people we'll want to see the original Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Bulma. To build the argument from "future trunks" is a very great idea. This will allow us to create a parallel argument that it is also justified in the original series. (Trunks comes from the future and also returns to it) To bring Gohan, Goku and Vegueta alive at that time will be easier to explain. Gohan will need that arm back of course  . More questions: - What do you guys think about the Super Saiyan 5 transformation? - What other transformations would you like to see? If Gohan is back, we can (maybe) have a SS Pan Looking forward your comments! Rod |

Idk if ss pan would appeal to many. Pan is probably the most disliked person in GT. If you're picking up where GT left off than my advice would be to focus on the supporting cast, as Goku was the focal point of every saga, whereas dbz turned into "if you're not a saiyan, you're useless" toward the end, GT turned into "if you're not Goku, you're useless". One thing I'd like to see is adult gotenks. |

Adult Gotenks sounds cool. Nice point about SS pan. By the way, I would like to see (if possible) what you are writing/drawing about Goku Jr. Would you be interested in dubbing? Rod |

I'm writing a fanfiction following the tournament that Goku Jr and Vegeta Jr partake in 100 years following the events of GT. The story is about Goku Jr gathering the dragonballs to find out what happened to his parents as there's no mention of them in the Hero's legacy movie special. Just started working on it so I don't have much beyond that core idea for the fan fiction :s. Dubbing as in voice overs? Idk if I have the right voice for it XD. The saga name I find plain and uninspired. Think a name should be the last thing you look into, more important is the creating a backstory for a compelling villian. Good villians in my opinion were Cell, Bebi and Omega Shenron. Each one had a backstory relating to the z fighters or Goku in some way and for Cell and Omega, the z fighters sort of helped create them with Cell being comprised of the z fighters and previous villians cells, omega being made from the negative energy from wishes. Bebi though was a good villian because he had a reason to be a villian, he wanted revenge for the saiyans wiping out his race. Creating a villian who has a reason for the way they are is key I think.

Here's my fan fiction I'm working on: Since the death of Pan Goku Jr. trained very hard for the purpose of protecting the earth. He is now in high school together with Vegeta Jr., who also trains hard together with Goku Jr. When in class they both see 6 pods falling out of the sky when they look out of the window. They decide to go check it out with the excuse of going to the bathroom. "Vegeta," says Goku, "What were those pods? They aren't from this planet. I just feel it's not from here.". "Our training will finally be useful!!" replies Vegeta. They do not know nor notice that they are being followed by a female from another class. Who is she? "We're finally here, but I don't see the pods nor do I feel something. It's like it completely disappeared." says Goku Jr., with a disappointed yet scared voice. "It must be a hallucination. I'm sure of it. The food on our school is the cause of this!! Damn you, cook!" yells Vegeta. "It's them. My scouter says it's them." says one of the strange creatures with a scouter. "Paralyse them at once!" says the strongest one. These 6 creatures look like saibamen, but they have some characteristics of Xicor, a tuffle who absorbed the power of one of the strongest kaioshins in history. The result was him deforming into a humanoid demon since he combined the power with his evil power. Vegeta and Goku Jr. both get attacked from behind in the blink of an eye. "Watch out!" yells the woman who has been following both of them. What's this? This female fires a blast at one of the creatures! "W-who are you?" asks Vegeta. "Hey, I know you!! You are that girl who always fights the bullies at our school!!" yells Goku. "No time for chit-chat. Quick, defend yourselves. I'll help you!" says the woman. Goku and Vegeta go both super saiyan. But what's this? The woman becomes super saiyan too! This woman her name is Lessica, a descendant from Fasha, the female saiyan who knew Bardock. "Huh? What the?!" says a shuddered Goku. "You can turn blonde too!!" yells Vegeta. The fight isn't long and all 3 get kidnapped. "Mission complete. We're returning to mothership now." says on of the creatures to his transmitter with a high demonic voice full of blood lust. "Well done. Finally I can investigate my prior target, the descendant of Vegeta, my rival. I will have my final and ultimate revenge for killing my race!!" says Xicor with a very deep, low and terrifying voice like the scream of 1000 bats out for blood and flesh. ------ I hope you guys like it.
