I like them. The first one has a interesting look to it, I'm curious is there something you were trying to make on that one? or just randomly come together? The second one is also pretty cool although I don't really like the colours I feel they don't really go so well together but it is executed very nicely with a clean look. I like the blue effects they really give a different feel to whole sig, maybe if the background was a colour that matched it all I'd like it abit more but on the whole good job 6.5/10 |

Thanks for the comments man. It was originally a DNA strand, but it didn't look great as a signature, and the challenge I was doing was it had to be from scratch, so I just concentrated on having nice colours, and flowing composition but sort of lacked the patience to create anything significant. I see why the colours don't go together but I've always liked black and shiny colours, I like shiny haha. Next time I'll try having a more matching background, I'm planning to make some c4d signatures soon so I'll try and get my colouring down in those ones, thanks for the feedback! |

The best thing about you is that you have a very unmistakable style in the sense that I'd be able to tell these were your sigs even if you had created a second account here on dbzf to post them. It's you, your style, your vibe, your own thing. And that's really special quality to have. It's a quality some other people on this forum have, but not quite as firmly and demarcated as you do. I can't comment on the first piece because I have literally no idea how much work it takes to do that or even how to make that. It looks interesting, though. The second sig looks clean and cool, but here are a few quick tips I'd like to see you implementing on your next sigs -- if you feel like it, of course! a) blending. everything in this sig stands out too much, I feel like if you had worked a bit more on blending the render and the main effects of this sig in the background it would help making the whole piece look more cohesive and balanced. b) size? this normally doesn't really matter, but I feel like making sigs this small is really cutting your creativity (and I know you're a very creative person so I really wish you tried making larger pieces to show that more). c) unity -- and let me explain this one. Like I mentioned when I suggested you worked on the blending of your sigs, I think usually you have a lot of really cool effects and visual things in your sigs that stand out a bit too much and look like they could belong in ANY sig and not just that one sig in specific you're making. That's part of your style and it very often works wonderfully, but at the same time I wish there was more a feeling of unity in your work to create that impression that all the elements of your sig were meant to be in that ONE sig, and that sig only... do you know what I mean? I'm not sure if I'm making myself clear here... sowy if I'm not haha ![]() Like always though, I love your sense of aesthetic and I'm really excited that you're making sigs regularly now. Keep dem comin', pleaseeeee!

I think when you're presenting something new or something you were just "Messing about" with you should really explain it. Explain what it was, what you're doing what you thought was so great that you had to post it. No disrespect, I just think that people should know these things before commenting on a concept that's unexplained. I'm always curious about how you make your sigs, they seem good quality but at the same time with this particular one I'm not clear on the concept because I think I see the pieces in your effects but nothings really bringing it together. Render positioning could be better |

Thanks for the feedback! The first one was done in a fairly easy way, I just created various sized circles and coloured them in slightly different colours, re-sized them, duplicated and then used a few filter layers to make them look more HQ an soft, it had a few different incarnations which were more complicated but I lacked the finesse to create a really full piece with it and as it took such a short time amount of time to complete I kept trying to add to it but couldn't find a way without making things convoluted. Thanks for all the points, I agree with them all especially point c, I do have a habit to focus too much on the effects rather than the unity, thus diminishing the cohesiveness off the signature. I'll work on making the effects feel more natural in regards to the sig, I'll also do some with a bigger size, that comes around from me continuously cropping during the course of making one, which is detrimental to the end product and I'll do one at a larger size. Those were really great tips, thanks a lot
That's fine good sir, the first one didn't really have a concept other than I had to make it from scratch, I was originally going for a few ideas (DNA strand, Pills, flow) but in the end just went with the randomness that came up. The second one was originally going a lot more colourful, with more of the shiny colours and things but came to a wall when everything started to get messy on it, the render was put in that sort of pose because I had an idea to do a cool style of text from her into the middle but couldn't do it without completely distracting from the focal and forgot to move the render afterwards. They were posted to see what people thought of the styles and to see what the particular shortcomings were so I can hopefully rectify them in future ones because I like the style of the second one but it has flaws that I want to work on, and I'm glad you guys have pointed them out. Thanks for the comments man!
Thanks very much man! |

And he smells Thanks Light, if that's the case then 10/10 on always sticking to your own special style. I feel like I'm a pro at identifying your style compared to anyone elses sigs. And since I've pretty much seen everything you've ever made, as usual it's very artistic |

You always have such unique and refreshing styles Light. They are really inspiring to see. I wish I could come up with neat ideas like that. The first signature is kinda cool, but I don't really know where to comment about it or what to really say to help you with it. The second signature is stylish, but I think a little more blending would do it justice. The first one I give a 7.5/10 and the 2nd on I give a 7.5/10 as well. |

Thanks a lot Pookie! You've come up with loads of great ideas, don't be silly! (Your green power ranger sig is amazing btw). I agree about the blending, I think I could do with learning the smudge tool better as I could use that to blend.

I think the first one is a solid attempt and it's hard to judge it because you had to do it from scratch - something which I've never done before, mind you :p. I understand not having the patience to finish it, and I think this comes through in the first signature. I'm sure you could complete this and it'd be awesome ![]() The second one is really good. I think it's not up to your usual standard, though. The background is amazing. It really is. It's cool, I think that shade of blue on dark grey/black is great and works really well, but the render sticks out a bit too much, and I think something less bright would work better here. Unless you were going for a big contrast here - sunny colours in the render and darker colours in the background - in which case you've definitely achieved it. It's also a completely new style from you, I think, which is also great to see. I always like when people try out a new style, it shows they're really trying to better their work and this is clear in almost everything you do, Light. You should be proud of that ![]() Anyway, like I said before, I think that these two pieces are good for showing you've tried experimenting, but I think with more practice and work at it, you'll provide much more amazing work

Thanks for the feedback man. The aim was to try and get a big contrast between the dark background and light effects but I think I may have over done it, or at least not done enough in the actual signature to get away with the difference in tone. Thanks a lot man I'm hoping to finish some more refined signatures using the advice I've been given soon. |
