I've been a fan of this guy since 4-5 years old. I stopped watchin WWE the moment he left to pursue his actin career. Its speculated that his entry into pro-wrestlin as a small step stone for his entry into Hollywood. Even after then, almost after 7 years, he still hasn't build his name among other top-class actors. IIRC, there's a site which condemns The Rock for he should've sticked with WWE, & his only single acheivement was his participation in Fast 5. After his victory over Cena (of which in my honest point of view, Rock's poorest match), he claims that it's just the beggining, & left. Is he that desperate for making movies or simply driven by his over-inflated ego? |

His passion is wrestling and acting. He enjoys both, and there's no problem with that. We can't control his life, nor should we. He did everything he could've done in WWE, as far as winning titles and whatnot, same as Austin. Would you rather he had stayed and become extremely stale like Hogan or Cena has now? I think it's a good thing he left before fans got bored of him. Not trying to come off as aggressive, but I don't think people should be so hard on Rock just because he's pursuing multiple career fields. |

WWE goes by scripts. I dare say he has little creative control on what happens to him next. |

Haha, funny place to post this. Anyways, being a huge WWE fan, I will respond. The Rock may have an ego, but he's honestly one of the greatest guys in the business. Always nice to the fans, respectful to the guys in the locker-room, didn't play politics as much as other guys in his position, would always put people over, etc. Going to Hollywood was a personal decision of his, and who can blame him? The life of a WWE superstar is brutal. Traveling every day, wrestling 300+ times a year. Its hard on the body, mind, and sould. Why do you think so many of them get into drugs, and die young? The Rock did some amazing business for the WWE, and left when his contract ran out. He got out of the game while he was young and healthy. Now, he comes back to the WWE, truly for the love of it. The man is an A list actor, and gets paid $10 million a film. The WWE couldnt even hope to match that. The Rock isnt back for the money, he's back for the people. The man is a class act. If you want to talk about horrible people in the wrestling business, look to Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Rick Flair, Warrior, Orton, Triple H, Scott Hall, and others. Rock is no angel, but he's certainly one of the most respectful men to make it to the top of the WWE (along with Cena). ^ Sorry if I used any wrestling terms that went over some of your heads, lol. Nah, I'm fairly certain he does, but I don't think he had much problem with what WWE wanted to do with the feud. I know for a fact that Cena has a lot of creative control over his storylines, as an ex-writing assistant stated in an interview on IMDb recently, and I don't think Rock would have any less control than Cena given his popularity and accolades. |

Newsflash The Rock made Forbes 2012 top 100 most valuable people in the world. He's technically as vailable to this world as President Obama and Justin Bieber. He's a great actor, especially when he gets a role that suits him. I wish he wrestled full time, some of the best times in my youth was watching him throw down the people's elbow. He's coming back in beginning of 2013 according to his twitter once he finishes the films he's working on now. http://www.forbes.com/sites/dorothypomerantz/2012/05/16/the-rock-is-kicking-ass-and-saving-franchises/ ^Kicking ***** and saving franchises. That's my second favorite athlete right there. Fact is he's successful everywhere and can do both with his talent. I watched a video on netflix over The Rock and Vince Mchanan (the real owner of WWE) said that he allowed the Rock to say what he wanted on mic and help with the storylines involving him. He has/had more pull than anyone else in the business according to Vince. Edited by Lord Cooler, Jun 14 2012, 03:09 AM.
