Was Super Buu stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks?

I personally think SSJ3 Gotenks was somewaht stronger than Super Buu. However there are statements in the Manga which imply otherwise.

Chapter: 498 (DBZ 304), P2.3-4
Boo: “Far, far, waa~~aay far away, I felt a strong power…I won’t allow anyone to have a power stronger than mine…”

Here Super Buu claims he won’t allow anyone to be stronger than him. Why would he say that if Gotenks was already “stronger” or at least as strong as him??

Chapter: 499 (DBZ 305), P12.2-4
Gohan: “…That was dirty, you bastard…You ingested the two of them into yourself…”
Boo: “It’s your fault. You were stronger than I, who should have been the absolute strongest…When I sensed your distant presence, I started up on this strategy…In case maybe, just maybe, there was anyone stronger than myself…Then I hit upon it: if I absorbed that ‘Super Gotenks’ squirt I was fighting at the time, then no matter what kind of guy appeared, my throne as the strongest would not be shaken…”

This is another indication whic proves Super Buu might have been stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks. Buutenks claims that he should have been the strongest and only treated to Gohan.

In the Anime Super Buu said he used Gotenks as a warm up but Anime is non canon bull*****.

So was Super Buu stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks????

 Gotenks wasn't fighting serious enough back then. Also, it took Goku effort to control his SSJ3 form, but he was able to do it. He had the ability to go all out, while Gotenks archived SSJ3 with lack of control and going all out. Then again, like I said, he wasn't fighting seriously like Piccolo said.

 hmm i cant remember too well and i cant be bothered to find proof but if gotenks was stronger

super buu was much smarter and thus still win


but i still think super buu was roughly equal or a little stronger then gotenks

I think SSJ3 Gotenks was somewhat stronger than Super Buu however there are statements which make me think Super Buu>SSJ3 Gotenks but naybe Super Buu meant that he won't let anyone to be much stronger than him since SSJ3 Gotenks was around his level or somewhat above him.

But maybe he did hold back his full power against Gotenks because he knowed he cant beat Gohan. No other explanation.

I actually think Mystic Gohan>>SSJ3 Gotenks>=Super Buu. Super Buu said what I posted maybe because he meant that he won't let anyone be much stronger than him since SSJ3 Gotenks was as strong or somewhat stronger than Super Buu at best. Super Buu never held back on SSJ3 Gotenks, I dount he did. He did in the Anime since in the Anime he says he used Gotenks as a warm up.

Anime Wise: Mystic Gohan>>Super Buu>SSJ3 Gotenks.
Manga Wise: Mystic Gohan>>SSJ3 Gotenks>=Super Buu.

He had the 5 minutes as a SSJ3 but SSJ3 Gotenks>=Super Buu IMO. Super Buu was probably frustrated that Gohan was much stronger than him.

 I think Gotenks is stronger since they were just about to kill Super Buu before the fusion wore off and Goku wondered if they would even need Gohan at one point.

 Yea he is probably stronger but not like gap between Gohan and Super boo.

Even SSJ Gotenks could kill him after super ghost kamikaze atk but they were not carefull enough.

I agree about the chain but your logic proves Mystic Gohan is no much stronger than Super Buu as well since you say SSJ3 Gotenks>=Super Buu. Trunks said so and Trunks is cocky and proud. SSJ3 Gotenks>=Super Buu IMO.
