They say that the only reason Bardock is canon is because Toriyama was inspired to put him in the manga after the anime special, thus he isn't canon. Thoughts? Is something that is canon considered 'Real Information' and something that is non canon is considered like almost a huge plothole that should be ignored?

Google Chrome Favourite Manga Monster, One Piece, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter X Hunter, Death Note, SnK	Basically, canon is something that is from the source material and is confirmed as "having happened" or being part of the series. With DBZ it's pretty much something that's in the manga. Anything that's only present in the anime/movies/GT is non canon.
