First we will see what was Goku’s statements about Dabura. Chapter: 450 (DBZ 256), P2.5, P3.1-4 Context: after Kaioshin again warns against unleashing Boo Vegeta: “Hmph…The way things are going, this ‘Majin Boo’ guy isn’t going to be anything special, is he? Just like that ‘Dabra’ jerk…[ ] I’m saying that this ‘Dabra’ guy doesn’t seem as bad as you two feared. Looking at his attacks and movement outside earlier, it seems that if we just watch out for his spit, then we should manage something. I can’t call Kibito anything but a bumbler for getting done-in like that…” Kaioshin: “…Is-is that true, Son Goku?...” Goku: “Yeah…Well, even if that wasn’t him at full force…I think that before he would have been a frightening opponent, but…7 years ago there was a guy called ‘Cell’…[Dabra]’s probably about as strong as him…” Later Goku states Dabura is a lot stronger than he fought which makes some people to think Dabura is above Cell. Chapter: 455 (DBZ 261), P6.1-2 Context: as Dabra fights Gohan Goku: “Magic, huh? He’s way stronger than I thought, ain’t he?” Vegeta: “Hmph…Even so, he’s not an opponent [he? we?] can’t win against. [Gohan]’s so pathetic…So much so that he was stronger as a brat…” Goku: “He really did slack off!” Now, when Goku states Dabura is around Cell’s level e could of meant to any level of Cell since Goku said Dabura would be a danger for him 7 years ago BUT even the Cell who fought Goku was stated by Goku himself to be a danger. When Goku said Dabura is stronger than he thought he could of meant to the Dabura’s magic abillities and not about his raw power. Chapter: 405 (DBZ 211), P10.4, P10.6 Goku: “…Wait for Gohan to get angry…! He’ll…probably…unleash his true power through anger, and suddenly display ferocious strength [ ] …To defeat Cell…The only thing we can do is place our hopes in this power of Gohan’s…” Goku states that they can only beat Cell if Gohan got angry. Note: Goku said that before even seeing Cell’s true power. He said that about the Cell he fought. That proves that Goku could of easily meant to the cell he fought. Furthermore, there is a statement that Goku OBIOUSLY didn’t talk about Full Power Perfect Cell when he sid Dabura is Cell’s level. Context: after Kuririn and Piccolo are turned to stone Goku: “Well then, is there any way to return them to normal?!” Kaioshin: “Th…that’s [impossible]…As long as Dabra doesn’t die…” Goku: “Well then, there is a way, ain’t there? A simple way like that…!” Kaioshin: “Huh!?” Goku thinks that beating Dabura is simple which can lead to the conclusion that Goku thinks he only needs SSJ to beat Dabura. How strong SSJ Goku of the Buu Saga can be? He is probably at best Full Power Perfect Cell since SSJ2 Goku was stated to be above SSJ2 Kid Gohan but I doubt the diffrence between SSJ2 Goku to SSJ2 Kid Gohan is as big as the diffrence between SSJ Kid Gohan to Full Power Perfect Cell or that can be the diffrence at best. That easily proves Goku didn’t talk about Full Power Perfect Cell and probably talked about the Cell he fought. Vegeta even thinks he can take out Dabura and Goku never contradicted him. Goku never even knew Vegeta can go SSJ2 Dabura was fighting SSJ Gohan not SSJ2 Gohan. He was a lot stronger than him and considered him trash. Chapter: 459 (DBZ 265), P2.2-3 Badidi: “How about it, Dabra? Just to be sure, do you have confidence that you can defeat that Earthling [Gohan]?” Dabra: “Naturally. I fought him a little bit before, after all. There’s no doubt that I can take care of trash like that.” Yet when Goku tells Gohan to get angry he wants him to go SSJ2 implying that SSJ2 adult Gohan who is much weaker than SSJ2 Kid Gohan would beat Dabura. Chapter: 458 (DBZ 264), P3.1-2 Context: as Gohan remembers Goku’s advice to get angry Gohan: “I-I am angry…! I’m angry, but…[it’s not] like it was ba-back then…” Gohan states he is not angry enough to go SSJ2 like he did after witnessing Videl’s defeat. That easily puts Dabura way below SPC and make him at best close to FP perfect Cell or barely equal to him. I would say SPC=SSJ2 Kid Gohan>>SSJ2 Teen Gohan>Full Power Perfect Cell>Dabura>Suppressed Perfect Cell>MSSJ Kid Gohan>MSSJ Goku (Cell Games)>MSSJ Teen Gohan. |

Wrong section, and Dabra is equal to Full Power Perfect Cell. From Daizenshuu:
Now, saying he's stronger than SPC is a bit much to me, but FP Perfect Cell makes much more sense. If not then you'd be implying that Gohan's SSJ2 went from beyond Full Power Perfect Cell level to lower than Surpressed Perfect Cell. |

gohanw as ssj vs dabura and daizenshuu states gohan was a ssj2 vs dabura yet abother one says he was only a ssj lol anyway when it says he is equal to cell it can also mean he is equal to the cell who goku fought or cel's averge level well i have dabura close to FP perfect cell ssj2 adult gohan who is way weaker than SPC is stated above dabura |

Yeah, which is why Dabura is weaker than SPC. I only have him a FP Perfect Cell level as it seems reasonable. There's also no doubt in my mind that Gohan was SSJ2 while fighting Dabura. |

The only reason Gohan would not be SSJ2 would be because he couldn't go SSJ2, which is silly. Otherwise, why would he not go SSJ2 if he was close to death from Dabra. ^My new favorite picture |

Yeah, Gohan goes SSJ2 from a request of a complete stranger, yet doesn't go SSJ2 when his life is being threatened. Sounds logical to me. |

The SSJ2 sketches shows one strand of hair only, and the SSJ1 sketch shows 2. SSJ2 Gohan vs. Dabura has one long strand of hair. My theory is that Toriyama just didn't want to draw all that lightning. |

wrong toriyama draws lightening in any character in the manga and gohan had two bangs since toriyama drew gohan with one bang as ssj and ssj2 during the world tourment he was a ssj its a fact |

Alright, here, look. SSJ1 = Two Strands ; SSJ2 = One Strand  Yet clearly here, we see one strand vs. Dabura  He was SSJ2

Dabra was gonna fight a Fat Boo whom would have been on par with Super Saiyan 2 Gohan at Cell. |

and Mr Satan faught Perfect Cell. In other words, just because a character tries to fight another, doesn't make them equal or stronger. I'd hazard a guess that Dabura was surpressed Cell level. Goku and Vegeta told Gohan that if he got like he was 7 years prior then he would have whooped Dabura. Now that doesn't just refer to Gohan's rage. A rage boost is never significant enough to go from barely holding your own to completely dominating an opponent. No I think they meant turn SSJ2. except the name SSJ2 wasn't thought of at the time so they just said 'be like you were' |

Goku named it SSJ2, and he must know the name because he told Boo about it when they fought. |
