So what areas do you expect certain countries to win gold in during the olympics?

I'm just going to stick with England since I'm not hugely aware of the level of other nations.

I expect England to win gold in cycling events, curling, rowing, most of the running events and diving. I don't know about the other sports.

I think England is strong in boxing, fencing, gymnastics and shooting but I don't know enough about them to say for sure whether England could win the gold for them. Another thing I'm curious about is archery. England was at one point in history famed for it's magnificient archers. So I wonder if there's still an element of that about. However if I recall, China won all the golds for it before.

Novacane for the pain

Australia for hockey
China and Russia for most of the gymnastics
US for Basketball
Either Spain or Serbia for Tennis
China for table tennis
GB for Rowing

That's what I'd expect really. I don't know enough about the other sports to be accurate, but I'd expect some easter european machine to take a lot of the weight lifting categories.

Guessing China for the table tennis and gymnastics. Bolt to win all his events probably. Be interested to see how Phelps does in the swimming. Apparently he stopped for a while after the last Olympics but has decided to try it again.
China or USA for basketball probably although I don't know maybe it'll ve someone else. Hockey Australia probs but not followed it. Guessing Tom Daley in the diving.

Tom Daley is on form. I saw his performance at the qualifiers and I was just like O_O

He did a quadruple summersault. Do you know how hard that is? One of the hardest dives you can do. That's how hard.

Only guarantee I can think of is Micheal Phelps taking most of the Olympic golds for US like he did in the last competition.

England won't win any medals Pelador because England aren't taking part in the Olympics.

Great Britain might win some medals though.

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

US has basketball, a few swimming events, and track events in the bag every time. So I would expect more of the same.

Like I said he stopped training for a while so wouldn't be too sure. Would be more sure about Bolt doing a repeat than him.
