Well this is my first post and I probably should have started on the intro forum but whatever. I just wanted to know why everyone hates GT. I just watched the whole Baby Saga over again and it was really exciting and it kept my attention the whole time. In my honest opinion I enjoyed it just as much or more than any DBZ saga. The shadow dragon saga is solid too, super saiyan 4 looks totally badass, especially vegeta. Sure there were some loopholes like how in dbz they said that when you die when your already dead your gone forever, but in Gt you can killed as many times as you want in Hell and each time is the same: you come back to "life." you guys make it seem like it is a lot worse than it is. You say Super 17 should be on par with semi perfect cell, but really both android 17s were stronger than the one in android saga or imperfect cell. And fusion gives a much larger incrase in power than absorptions like how super buu and Mystic Gohan together should be stronger than vegeta and goku together because Super Buu>>>>vegeta Gohan>>>>Goku But because one was a fusion it would make it far stronger. So anyway, why all the Gt hate? |

I dislike GT a lot because it doesn't grab my attention at all. Reasons why: I don't like the story. One second it's a big adventure, the next it's hardcore DBZ. (Probably because of the ratings slip) The immense overpowering of characters. The repetitive character designs. (Yeah, I know Toriyama designed some but you ever noticed how Baby looks exactly like Kid Boo? Exactly.) The animation absolutely sucks. It looks aged, and older than DBZ for some reason. The color palette is just off. It's not as vibrant as DBZ The plotholes! I also don't like GT Pan for some reason. I like EoZ Pan though. I do like some aspects of DBGT though. The SSJ4 design is quite awesome, IMO. Vegeta too. Ultimately though, GT was made because of the huge ton of money DBZ was making, and it was a half hearted attempt. I understand that it wasn't made to continue the manga, but cmon, there are fan made comic books with better stories. Edit: And as for Super 17, he should only be on par with Semi Perfect Cell. Hell Fighter 17 is an exact replica/copy of Android 17. In no way (IIRC) was he stated to be more powerful. Super 17 (logically) = Semi Perfect Cell Super 17 (illogically) = Over SSJ4 power Edited by GridZero, May 18 2012, 02:25 PM.

Android 17 ( Hell ) was equal with Base GT Vegeta. Vegeta say that. I have logical Super 17 ~ Gohan SSJ GT >> Base GT Vegeta in this saga. |

Ah, sorry, you're right there. Base Vegeta (GT) is about as strong as Hell Fighter 17. I retract what I said. I still think I read somewhere that Hell Fighter 17 was a down to the wire replica of Android 17 though. |

I liked it too, but there was two things that i didn't like, The fact that they killed half of the characters off, like; Krillin, Piccolo, Tien, Vegeta was pretty useless in GT, and the fact that all Pan did, was moan, god i hate her voice -.- |

For me, I hated GT for its Goku's Tour. Hey, Im one of the die-hard Goku fanboy ever lived on this planet & I can say without a second-thought that GT made me to DISLIKE Goku. It simply lost the soul, Toriyama's touch, & some sincerity. DBZ was makin tons of money as what GridZero mentioned, & it was used into makin GT, but the show certainly never showed, be it the animation, the art o anythin. I guess, TOEI hired a new set of animators, storyboard directors & on top of all, a junk as the series director. GT's series director was an ordinary animator staff of DBZ & most of his episodes are of bad quality. U know, some bad animation, art etc. Somehow, he became GT's director, & thats when all the things was goin wrong..Check out in Kanzeshuu... |

It's not that GT is bad in it's own respect. In reality GT is actually decent. Sure it's animation and colors are lacking, and some of the sagas are a bit off, but in reality it's A L O T better than many anime's. It's just, for DBZ fans, it doesn't compare. It has way to many plotholes to be a continuation from DBZ, and it's just overall different than DBZ. So different, it's just annoying. |

GT always gets major hate, i hate dragonball more lol Dislikes of gt: Uub gettin his butt beat Goku staying as a kid Pans voice Vegetas ssj2 design shouldve looked better Vegeta not going ssj3 Gohans ssj2 design Goten & trunks not going ssj2 or fusing Bulla not fighting Para para brothers & dolltaki Everything else was fine |

I honestly don't think GT is better than any anime I've seen. Mind you, I've seen the entire Bleach bount arc, and it was torture. What gets me about GT is that it's like a unneeded movie sequel that was made solely for the money. |

Agreed, my feelings exactly. GT had a lot of potential, but I think Toei thought that they could put anything up, and it would sell and have good ratings, but it didn't. |

Gt should be about Goten,Trunks. Such potential trowen away. Also if only AT showed Future Trunks in EoZ beeing one of strongest saiyan fighters or even Future Gohan coming to life because he actualy died once so dragon could wish him back. Future Gohan seeing Goku and others because in manga no one keaps body in afterlife + him fighthing against Piccolo would be awsome in world tournament at EoZ. Realy if i made dbz story i wouldnt change all but AT clearly could do better ending and not Goku leaving to train some kid because world rests on that kid. Like Goten and Trunks dont exist. For me it was the cheap fight scenes and really bad dialogue. Powerlevel wise the series made little to no sense and had an abundance of plotholes, was awful, all the characters where awful too, Goku was portrayed very badly, being seen to give up multiple times just because an enemy was better than him. He never gives up, thats the point! Everyone was useless beyond words. Bad voices, music, dialogue, characters (new and old), fight scenees, stories (they had promise for great storylines but for some reason crapped all over their own work). |

It was soooo boring when Goku, Trunks, and Pan went around searching for the Black Star balls. And Pan was so freaking annoying I wanted her to die or stay as a puppet forever. It pissed me off how she always talked down on Goku and Giru...dumb  This combination made me take a month break from watching Gt.Baby saga was great though imo. Super 17 was decent. The individual Shadow Dragon fights were a little boring but the Omega Shenron fight was good (esp. seeing SSJ4 Vegeta and Goku fuse). And I liked the ending theme that Shenron says for them to solve problems themselves instead of relying on the dragon balls all the time. There were a lot of dumb things, like the Parra parra bros, Cardinal Moochi moochi, Dolltaki, etc... I really wanted to see Goten and Trunks fuse. An older Gotenks would be so cool lol DBZ > DB > GT imo |
