but... they are crap though. Wide open at the back, poor on the ball, lacking in creativity ect. I hate how long their players stay on the floor whenever they are fouled too.

The Czech's aren't much better. I think their back four might be even worse than the Greeks and the fact that they haven't been able to get anymore goals is a testament to their lack of ability as a team. I reckon that most of the other teams in the tournament would have scored 4 or 5 goals by now against either of these teams.

Yeah but my point is you shouldn't, as a professional commentator outright say "God, these teams are *****, why are we watching this crap?". It's kinda disrespectful to the people who sent them out there to watch it, disrespectful to the teams involved and the effort they've put in and they just don't make it enjoying to watch. They're meant to pad things out with actual information not just say "this is *****, god this is so *****" - it's not like they're gonna just stop the game and apologize for not meeting the commentators expectations, they're just playing a game.

I disagree, I think the commentators should be allowed to express their opinions about how the teams are playing.

But there's a better way to do it, and ultimately the teams cannot be outright bad if they managed to qualify for the tournament.
Also they don't seem to be very even handed with their comments, I don't hear them digging into England so much when they play poorly and don't keep the ball.

Exactly, Wolf understands what I mean. Even if Greece were playing well they'd ***** them out, it's nothing to do with the team, it's the people commenting on it. They're so uptight these days about football and yet you have people like Andy Townsend commenting on it and he's won ***** all in his life.

Don't know if Light noticed this http://dbzf.co.uk/single/?p=8484127&t=8358688

Russia are really great and playing balls through the defenders and timing their runs. Poland are playing quite nicely over the last 15 minutes....and they've just scored gotta wait for the replay now....

That was a great game. I was routing for Poland just because I like an underdog. They were surprisingly good too. That goal was stupendous. My one criticism is that they weren't too clever getting the ball into the box. They tended to over hit it or lose it to a Russian player. Apart from that, they played good football.

They were running fast even at the end, whereas some of the Russian players were looking a bit lazy by then.

Yeh I usually support the underdogs too.

I did not Wolf, I will join tonight! If it's still open. Thanks for the heads up.

I thought the Czech game was quite dull, I was rooting for Poland because they have a few Dortmund players I like, even though I also adore Arshavin (I thought despite some moments of quality he was very wasteful today). Kuba's goal was amazing, shame that neither team had that little extra to win the game.

Lewandowski let me down by not scoring a goal this time. I'm slowly becoming a fan of his. Poland did well. It was a good game of football.

He's in my local dream team, he got booked as well which loses me points.

Reading all of your points about the commentators earlier, I agree with all viewpoints, like Pelador said they should be allowed to voice their opinion on the level of teams playing but I've also certainly felt bias with some of the commentators, certainly at the least a lack of respect or awareness of foreign football.

Pookie, admit it, you almost shat yourself at the end of the Italy vs Spain game when Marchisio made that run through the middle and shot right on Casillas. :p haha Spain had me scared the whole from the 64th minute onward though . Italys defense was getting me nervous though. De Rossi was playing as a CB and made a few bad give aways, and all the denfensemen got carded.
Italy did have me scared quite a few times when they played Spain. However, I think Spain would have won if they had a striker in from the beginning. Italy played a great game, but I think the reason why del bosque put all midfielders on the field because Italy is notoriously known for putting 10 people back to play defense especially if they are up 1-0. I think he wanted to tire the Italy defense up which almost worked because towards the end the Italian defenders were getting tired. You could see the chances Spain were getting.

@Viddy- I have been saying it this whole eurocup. These commentators on ESPN are the worst. When England was playing against France, they gave little credit to France and kept comparing England to Spain. France was doing great and should have got much more credit instead of them talking about how England plays just as good as Spain. The game wasn't even about Spain, it was England vs France. They kept pinpointing how France's defense was weak and critiquing their players. They did not do that at all for England. England is a team in their own right and they are a team with plenty of talent, but it's hypocritical to say they played like Spain when in the Spain game those very same announcers were constantly criticizing the Spanish.

England played nothing like Spain. They couldn't even control the ball. England played like England. I.e lobbing the ball into the box from the sides.

I think England need more players who play abroad. I don't think the premier league is suited to international football. You hardly see English teams that pass the ball around and keep possession.

Well that kind of style wasn't suited to playing against France, who basically work by crowding out single players and taking the ball. The way England play by lobbing the ball and clever set pieces is good against teams like France.
