Of course both could have ben prevented if certain players had been a tad more careful. If Glen Johnson hadn't been there it'd have gone straight in. The only reason it went down as an own goal was because unfortunately it bounced off the post after he attempted to clear it. Glen Johnson tried very hard to prevent Mellberg's header but it couldn't be helped from his perspective. The marking of Mellberg in the first place wasn't done correctly however, for some reason I'm thinking James Milner or Ashley Young hadn't marked him properly and allowed him to break through. Best goal of the night was by far Theo Wallcott's. It flew over pretty much every man on the pitch, it was beautiful. Say what you like about the England team's performances, every one of their goals in this tournament has been top class. Lescott and Carroll's headers were perfect, Wallcott's shot was perfect and well, Welbeck's goal looks more impressive than it probably is technically, but never the less, I'm so happy for him. Out of the entire England team I wanted Welbeck to take a goal because he's one of the youngest there. I wanna see him get the confidence to become a really great player. Really pleased he got the winner against Sweden too, we haven't beaten them in a heck of a long time.

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	What an upset that was tonight. Both Poland and Russia knocked out. Poland played awful in the second half. The Czech's were the better side and deserved the win. I didn't see the Russia game but heard that Russia played quite lazily. So Greece probably deserved it more too. I can't see Greece beating Germany though. That's more unrealistic than them beating Russia by quite a long way.

Of course they'd lose to England in the finals :P well I can always hope so Russia seemed to be attacking a lot in the first half, and should have put in a couple before the Greece goal.

Ninjajp/Slayerslice appeal	Well Portugal are losing 1-0. I was expecting them to win, said it before too I think. Managed to score against a strong Danish defence and held Germany back a decent bit. Denmark I think will draw at least. Germany aren't winning this. Thought the Danes would score on that set piece and they did......maybe this is a good day now. Denmark for the win! Agger is the best defender in this tournament so far. The defender with the long blonde hair seems to be the weakest point in the Denmark defence.

Google Chrome	Daniel Agger isn't the best defender in the tournament :S Anyway, Portugal are dominating the Dutch right now. I want them to win this game. Christiano Ronaldo should score another goal. Looks like it could be a header from the amount he's had in the first half. Germany I want to win their game. Denmark have done well for themselves, but I don't seriously think they're able to compete for winning the whole thing. At this stage I feel they're being spoil sports which is unfair on reflection of their merits but I'm just not feeling them being able to do much more than they have.

I can't understand why anyone believes Germany can win anything. They are an average side at best. Their goals tonight were lucky and only because Denmark's back four is a joke. They will struggle against a more professional team.

If the last man for Denmark was always Agger they'd never concede.... That said.... Noooooooo DENMARK I don't know who to support now other than England. Denmark are hardly spoil sports they just played well. I don't think you can call a team a spoil sport for getting good results. It's the results that matter, not whether they play in a way that looks nice. I think they deserve respect, they didn't get this far with luck, they're a top team. It shouldn't be so difficult for teams to be recognised as a top team in any sport if they're getting the results. Maybe I'm taking it the wrong way, just feels to me like there's too much elitism really, with people saying Denmark or the USA aren't genuinely good teams even though they consistently beat teams which are considered to be good teams. edit: lol how is Denmark's back four a joke....they're one of the best, maybe Italy and Spain have a better 1 only.
