It seems like Croatia is getting some chances now. The Italian defense is more open than usual. I'm hoping they tie. |

Torres scored within 3 minutes. You really have something to worry about Ana. That only makes John O'Shea play better. |

BRACE YOURSELVES, GUYS. We're gonna have a very hyper Pookie Poo coming on the forum today!! ![]() ETA: Regardless of what else can be said about Ireland, one thing's for sure: their adepts in the stadium tonight are absolutely notable! They've been cheering for their team the WHOLE time. This is EXACTLY what should happen, you're supposed to be there for your team whether it loses or wins. Really, really refreshing to watch this behavior from ireland's fans!

I don't think they looked invincible. Ireland got a couple of good chances when they had the ball but just weren't a good enough team to capitalise on the opportunities presented to them. Plus their defending was horrible. Admitedly, Spain's passing for the most part was unsurpasable. However they seemed shaky when the other team had the ball in my opinion. A stronger team than Ireland should be able to score goals against them and defend much more effectively. That being said, I still think Spain are the best team in the tournament. |

Ireland played bad, you can tell when Roy Keane starts going on one of his tirades about how shocking and dreadful a team has played. Spain on the other hand just played like Spain. They weren't at their best, but they're too good for a team like Ireland to beat, let alone easily. I feel really upset for the Irish even though I kinda wanted Spain to win since I have them in a sweepstake. Their fans sang and kept singing the entire game, even after the whistle went and the players left the pitch. That's how football should be. In England the team expects the fans to support them like that when half the time they don't deserve it. Ireland genuinely look like they try their hearts out to do well whereas England, like in the last World Cup, think they can beat their group no problem and end up relying on a single goal to even get through the group, but then that's what you get when you've got a bunch of egotistical, money-grubbing scumbags like Wayne Rooney, Ashley Cole and John Terry playing for your team. Perhaps Roy Hodgson is right taking people like Danny Welbeck, Jordan Henderson and Martin Kelly, because they might actually try their hardest for us instead of automatically thinking they're better. As I'm writing this, England captain Steven Gerrard is telling the media that he thinks the way they played against France is good enough to BEAT Sweden and he said yes. Bearing in mind that England drew with France and always struggle against Sweden, that's the worst possible attitude to have. It's lazy. They should be trying to do far more than that, and if that's what they go into the game thinking, I can see tomorrow being horribly stressful for England fans to watch, as usual. Roy Keane is so pissed that they lost like that and it must be frustrating for him because as a player he'd do anything to get the players doing their best, and anything less wouldn't be tolerated. Some of their players made some bad mistakes and they were punished, but their fans still forgave them even though they'd obviously rather have a win and a hope that they could win an international tournament, but 2012 just wasn't their year. |

I'm really proud of the Ireland fans. They still chanted even though their team was losing 4-0. They are really one of a kind. Spain is a great team and yes a lot of you were right, but anything can happen at any game. I will be nervous once again against Croatia. It will never change. I get nervous no matter what. Their passing was world class though like they usually are. It's how they are, but sometimes teams can get deadly counter attacks. I think some people need to understand that a lot of teams put everyone deep when playing Spain. It's hard to break through that. ANYWAY WOOHOOOOOOO I KNEW TORRES COULD DO IT!!!! He's going to kick ***** in this tournament I just know it. GO SPAIN! One game at a time. Edited by Pookie, Jun 14 2012, 10:30 PM.

Still haven't entered a team, I suck ![]() Had to record the Spain game and just finished watching it, managed to watch the Croatia Italy game live though. The speed of thought of the Spanish team is very impressive, physically they're not particularly impressive except for stamina but they just sap all the life out of other teams. Xavi was incredible today, something like 134 passes which broke the all time Euro record. This standard of play with players like the Bilbao duo, Cazorla and Negredo on the bench, not to consider the ones who didn't even make the squad is amazing. I think it will be a Germany Spain final, both teams play exciting football, I would also say Germany are the only team with a midfield that could cope with the Spanish, the Germans couldn't possibly have more possession but with Bastian/Khedira/Ozil they have enough flair and work-rate to hold their own. |

I'm not making any predictions for the finals because anything can happen in any game. This is why I love football because it gives lesser teams a chance to win. I think Ukraine might pull an upset against France today. I'm saying it because they are the host nation and probably have plenty of support. France have a great team, but for some reason the host nations tend to do well in these competitions. As for England and Sweden, I think England will win, but man I can't wait to see IBRAHIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVIC! England have a strong team so I don't see them losing to Sweden although my car is from Sweden xD. |
