Guys, you're making this sound like a ridiculously immature Edward vs. Jacob ordeal by comparing to Dbz and Db. GT is not bad, but it may not be as good as the others, but theres no reason to bag on it. I don't like a few things about it, but it's still DragonBall, so i will still love it, no matter what.

Yeah, and I don't see why everyone says that "If you were a true DB fan you would watch all of the series anyways", but in reality, as long as you enjoy Dragon ball, or any form of the series, you are a Dragon Ball fan, there are no true and un true fans.

I love GT. I think no matter what they did, fans of dbz would've been just as scrutinizing of GT because nothing could surpass DBZ in their eyes because for many like myself DBZ was the first anime they ever saw. If you seperate that bias and look at GT you'd find a show that's a good blend of the adventure in search of the dragonballs except on a galactic scale and humour of original dragonball while having some awesome fights like Goku vs Super 17, the opening fight between Goku and Uub on the lookout, the fight between Gogeta and Omega Shenron, Majuub vs Bebi, Goku vs Bebi, etc. The villians in GT were all rooted back deep in history of dbz with Bebi being a tuffle who came for revenge against the saiyans, Omega being spawned from wishes made as far back as original dragonball. The ending of GT was alot better then dbz for me. Goku became the eternal guardian of earth and he visited all his dear friends before parting ways. One thing I would've wanted to see in GT was adult Gotenks but I enjoyed GT thoroughly.

Eh, I don't think Tuffles are canon.

Canon to the anime, yes, but to the manga, no.

Why does something need to be canon to be enjoyed? Alot of the movies aren't canon but I enjoy them all the same. For instance Turles' movie almost is impossible to place in dbz's timeline but enjoyed it all the same.

I'm not quite saying that.

I love the Tuffle backstory, to be honest. What I'm getting at is that it shouldn't tie into the DBZ (manga) storyline because Tuffles don't exist there.

But then again, GT is a continuation to the anime, not the manga. Even movies are canon to GT.

I too like the fight between Goku and Uub at the beginning. The series sounds so promising with it, but after that, the fights aren't so interesting anymore. They just land a few punches, dodge, fire a lot of energy balls, and that goes over and over again without any new, awesome combat.

I liked it once they got past the space crap. I skip the Shadow Dragon stuff up until the battle with Omega, as I find the other fights boring or stupid.

Another thing I wish they did was bring Ledgic back at some later point in the series. His fight with Goku was great and from their talk it seemed like a rivalry was born. It would've been nice to see him again.

I like the Baby Saga, though the backstory and characters themselves are way more interesting than what was presented to us on screen.

I generally like to break the whole anime franchise up into sagas, and for me
Frieza Saga (encompassing what some refer to as the Namek and Ginyu Sagas) > Piccolo Saga (encompassing both King and Jr) > 21st Budokai Saga > Baba/Tien Saga > Saiyan Saga > Red Ribbon Saga > Pilaf Saga > Androids/Cell Saga = Black Star/Baby Saga > Buu Saga > Super 17 > Shadow Dragons > Garlic Jr Saga

So I consider the entirety of Dragon Ball and the first two sagas of Z to be by far the best of the series. After that I have the Androids, Cell, and Baby as "decent-to-good" and Buu, Garlic Jr, and the rest of GT as "terrible".

Goku's fight with most dragon's are easily one of the worst fights. Nuova was o.k, then Omega came, tooooo much trash talk, & isn't ,my personal favourite...
