Broly was just a brute, he did it to watch people suffer and take their hope. He's pretty sadistic. But buu? he did it because he could. He did it because goku and vegeta werent there. In a flash the planet was gone and it surprised everyone. All the kais, goku, even the people that found themselves standing in line, in front of yemma. destroying the landscape and most of the planet was my actual point to brolys accomplishment as opposed to buu who seemed like he was just passing through. so much more epically evil IMO. At least broly had a reason, he was a crazy, psychopathic social malcontent. Buu was just evil incarnate.
