Goku DID die on Namek. My facts to back it up.; A heated topic ive seen in the past

Safari Favourite Manga Naruto	Hi everybody So on other Dragonball Z forums, There is always a heated topic if Frieza actually killed Goku or not. If your not currently aware, it's the part where Goku goes down, and then Gohan flies over to take his place in battle. Shortly after the wish is made to revive everyone on namek, Goku returns telling gohan to leave. Now here is my facts: After Frieza went 100% power, Goku began losing the battle. It was obvious that Frieza grew stronger than Goku. It is also a known fact that after sayians go to the brink of death or die, their power increases immensely. After Goku goes down, Gohan states, "I can't sense his power level anymore" meaning he's dead. Goku returns right after the wish is made to bring everybody back to life, and Goku is suddenly stronger than before. So why would Goku suddenly be strong enough to defeat frieza? and why did he only come back after the wish was made? The facts are he died, and was brought back to life. Can anybody else agree with me?

Favourite Manga dat boi	As far as I know, Frieza was never stronger than Goku at any point. That was something that the anime tried to make up. Somone else would probably know better than me, though. Safari Favourite Manga Naruto	During their battle, after Goku reaches 100%, Frieza has the upper hand until he takes Goku out. Even King Kai states something in urgency about how foolish goku was for letting that happen, but I can't quite remember his line. Granted, I haven't read the Manga if it's different. Safari Favourite Manga Naruto	Then why was he down for so long, only to return after the dragon's wish? and to return without damage and stronger than before? and I don't believe the episode with gohan was filler, but I could be wrong on that one. again, I haven't read the Manga so I'm going off the Remastered DBZ that I've seen oh so many times. UPDATE: Just rewatched two of the episodes of the battle(Skimmed through them) After frieza goes 100%, he starts kicking Goku's butt. Edited by amsmagic, Apr 9 2012, 01:42 AM.

In the manga, he puts up a fight, but Goku had the clear edge, and he wasn't down for so long in the lake. The Gohan thing is filler.

Chrome Favourite Manga Tokyo Ghoul, Nanatsu no Taizai, Joshiraku, Owari no Seraph, Railgun, Mangaka-san	Cant be wished back twice Goku would have mentioned his death Gohan scene was filler (plus most of them cant sense correctly in highly stressful situations) Manga Goku had the edge on Frieza And a death like that wouldnt make sense in DBZ. Most deaths are drawn out, it takes awhile for the person to die (if they are important)

Goku waas drowned by Frieza's attack, and the anime made things up to rise the tension (u know, kids those days), with Gohan unable to sense Goku's chi. It was only present in the anime. In the manga, it was never mentioned. Next, Gohan returnin to battlefield & his short fight were fillers as well. Now, Goku came back after some while, and DID became stronger. The reason was Frieza tauntin Krillin's pathetic death, a word meant sooo much to Goku, of whom was his life-long best friend, and thus, enraaged him to the point that rage was the driving point/access of SSJ. So, that was it. In the manga, Goku still bashed up Frieza, while holdin back, with the anime tryin the create some inconsistencies, like Frieza slighly edgin Goku etc. I really suggest for u to read the manga, or searh in Daiz, Kanzentai etc. Good luck!
