I agree with you in part, it all comes down to your progression for the three year gap training. If you have Goku reaching 1 billion base than the humans would get stronger than Final Form Freeza, what I'm saying is that they're not on par with the saiya-jins, not even their bases. Progression in the three years is hard to figure out, mostly because of Trunks who comes back stronger than Goku, I personally think that's ridiculous but it's there. Some people have huge progression and others really low, I have the base saiya-jins (including Gohan) stomping Freeza at this point. As much as I don't like it, I consider the humans, at this saga, simply courageous (or dumb), much like how Tenshinhan never used a gravity chamber once despite being known for training hard during Dragon Ball. |

I don't think the humans were expecting to actually fight; just to be there to watch, or if anything went incredibly wrong. I recall Tenshinhan stating that he simply wanted to either see what type of foe is supposed to kill them all off, or see Super Saiyan power in action. Aside from that, I'm thinking that everyone was banking on Goku doing all the work; since Goku didn't die, no one really had a problem with putting themselves in harm's way. But they caught Yamcha sleeping  ...

Tien said that even if he died at least it would be with honour, or something. And Yamcha kinda breaks this theory, when he almost gets killed he's all like "Okay I'm not going to fight but I'll come watch" after he has his little "No way am I going! They're too strong D:" |

Well i think Yamcha was just a little bit cocky, and hadn't accepted how far behind he was until one hand kept him from moving. Look at how he died in the Saiyan saga, it was mostly due to his hubris and then before he died he said that he would take on all the saibamen at once. When he was at king Kai's he thought he could take on piccolo, and that was also incorrect. So when Yamcha thinks he is able to handle something and only ends up with a gaping hole in his chest, well honestly it just doesn't surprise me. |

Piccolo stating that the weak couldnt fight against the Androids breaks the theory that humans stayed behing, they were all willing to fight them, so they all should be at least at 50% Frieza. | ||||||||

Even 50% Freeza seems incredibly low. That would mean the Andorids were at least twice as strong as the humans, which should be more than enough for a stomp. The humans know that the Androids can beat SSj Trunks who is over 150,000,000, so Yamcha thinks he can at least help agaisnt someone who is >>150,000,000 which would imply he's at least 100,000,000 imo. Especially since Piccolo later says that the humans shouldn't bother trying to fight Dr Gero because they wouldn't stand a chance which implies whatever they were expecting the Androids to be, Piccolo at least thought the humans would be of some use, and yet later says they wouldn't be any use agaisnt Dr Gero by himself. Is it really possible for the humans to be stronger than 100% Freeza? |

There is something else before they even go to find the androids, even if it doesn't really prove anything. Goku: "All right!! Let's all spread out -- but don't corner them! If you find them, let everyone know right away!!" With that, it seems like Goku didn't want anybody fighting them alone until they'd all gotten there for backup, even though he should know that himself and Piccolo could easily handle them, so maybe he was being cautious and assumed that the androids would be stronger than Trunks had suggested. Meh. Anyway, I agree that with the way those quotes line up in the original post, it makes it seem as if the humans were at least in the same ballpark as Freeza's full power. Plot determines power, after all, even if it is illogical. If Toriyama wanted the humans to be powerful enough to give guys stronger than Super Saiyans a good source of power, then that's how it is. |

I can't accept them being that strong. I found a kind of loophole. SSj Goku >> Dr Gero > Android 19 >>>> Base Goku <=> Androids (Expected) > Yamcha. If Yamcha was expecting to not be 1 shot material then base Goku would surely able to hold his own, yet Goku feels the need to turn SSj right away and he wasn't expecting to 1 shot 19 like he clearly would have if 19 was supposed to barley be able to one shot Yamcha. I'm just gonna ignore all these quotes and think for myself  Damn you Toriyama.

Only thing for me to add is that, at this point, no one knows how strong #19 and 20 are—only that they both should be stronger than Future Trunks at Frieza. |

So I suppose guys weaker than Freeza can be valuable sources of power to guys stronger than him, and can also be of help in fight with said guys stronger than Freeza. What a cluster. |
