Vegeta is ruthless. Even as a kid, he didn't care about his home and race being obliterated, and he was adept at combat already as seen when Frieza complemented him on "definitely pulling his weight around here" or something like that. I think that kid vegeta takes this
	We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.

If so, I think he would be more powerful when he faced Son Goku. IMO King Vegeta takes this, Vegeta had to get his ruthlessness from someone after all, if he was pushed, King Vegeta should have no problem taking out his Kid (albeit, with difficulty) if he needs too.

It's not contradicted so it stands that kid vegeta's more powerful If my memory serves correct he said something about surpassing his father before he was old enough to know the difference. So, considering that Vegeta was a cunning warrior when he was a young child, he must be referring to when he was even younger than that. My guess is that Kid Vegeta is stronger than King Vegeta. Plus, after the Tuffle War, how much did King Vegeta actually do? We know that he fought on the one world where he brought Kid Vegeta to, but how many battles did he fight after that? It seemed to me like he stopped fighting and spent more time on his throne. That would give Kid Vegeta another advantage as he continuously trained as a child.
