In DBZ we first have guys like Raditz and Nappa, they were preety badas with power level of 1200 and 4000,Nappa was just toying with z fighters and destroying everything around him with power level of "just" 4000. Than we have Ginyu Force members with power level of 40000,we couldn't really see difference between them and Nappa, but they are like much much stronger, than we have Frieza like a ultimate evil and power in the universe, and I never liked that later everybody could kill Frieza with one hith,It should't be so high power gap. I know that Akira wanted to end DBZ after Frieza saga, but guys later was so strong with their power lewels of 100000000.....that really irritates me,so if Nappa with power less than 10000 could easy destroy one city in the one second, what could do Gogeta,he could destroy all universe with one kamehameha? Also when Yamcha was fighting vs Saibamen, they were so fast that at the start Gohan couldn't see them, but later guys like Mr.Satan doesn't have problems to see fights like Cell vs Gohan

So what's your point OP? And I would like you to provide a interview quote to prove AT wanted to end the series with Frieza saga. |

i understand, Lonely Wolf. Yeah, they really don't do anything particularly different; although the Saiyans had transformations that increased their power 10×, so that closes the gap a bit.
Freeza was supposed to be the baddest in the universe, just to be outdone by a mad scientist. But then again, that's kinda why battle powers were scrapped... |

I like to think that, with increased power, comes the ability to better integrate that power into one's body, and use it for fighting instead of just making things explode. That's a touch confusing, so I'll try and put it another way. Think back to when piccolo was first training Gohan. Even back then, he had enough strength to completely obliterate the moon with one hand blast. Thing is, I like to think that the size of an explosion is not equivalent to its actual power. DBZ characters have long since been able to detect and sense various power levels and energies and the like, so maybe, when they become impressed by a certain blast or explosion, it's not the size of the blast itself that impresses them, but just how concentrated the energy is. Thus, while someone in the later series could fire a blast that may seem small, their level of power focus and integration could mean that their small blast has within it the force of a thermonuclear warhead, all compressed into one small area. Plus, controlling one's energy is in itself a show of power. Anyone past the Frieza saga could theoretically blow up a planet with ease but it hasn't been in their interest to do so. Frieze did in his fight with Goku, but he was already so beaten and bloodied, he didn't have enough reserves to blow the planet up instantly. Just food for thought. |
