One of the most inconsistent parts in all of the Dragonball universe imo (all of GT excluded). Everything else in Dragonball is more or less consistent. Minus Roshi doing that, the most powerful characters are all on a Yu Yu Hakusho DT-esq scale of power. It seems that the plot demanded it, but I wish Roshi just took off his tail instead. It just really throws off the consistency of the power-busting capabilities imo. Based on DBZ's logic, only someone Nappa-level or above, should be able to do this. Thoughts?

It's because Toryama never imagined his manga would go as far as it did. Roshi was the most powerful being on Earth at that time, so what better way to demonstrate that by having him blow up the whole moon? Still, Roshi put everything he head into that attack whereas Picollo destroyed it with standard hand blast. So it does kind of work. |

It doesn't matter. It's not like the Earth would suffer any detrimental effects from losing it's moon, that would be silly. |

Roshi can blow up the moon in Dragonball, yet Super Ozaru Golden beby Vegeta can't blow up the Earth after 2 Super Galick guns...Anybody see something wrong with this? |

The Earth trained. It got tougher after Kid Buu popped it. Got a zenkai from all the saiyan blood that had been spilled in it soil from Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Goku, Gohan, Trunks, and Goten.

Honestly? You have to ignore Dragonball to get any sense from Z/GT. |
