These are all forms of potential unlocks. Majin : This brings the charmed person's power past their current max. 'Ultimate' : This also brings out a person's latent power, but it increases it past the user's current potential and rearranges the person as to allow them to access the power in the most efficient way. SSJ3 : This trasnformation brings out all of the user's current potential, but it does this every time the user transforms. According to the SEG, this transformation has a set multiplier. SSJ4 : Basically the same as SSJ3, but without the Strain on the body. Note : 'Ultimate' can't be a measuring stick for a person's latent potential. This is because it brings the user's power 'past' their current max, and we don't know how far past their max it takes them. Super God Water: Potential unlock and nothing more (I think), have to endure through, possibly life-ending, pain for the effects work though - TeenGohanZ Guru's unlock: Seems to range from taking days (Krillin - which didn't even seem to start for a few days) to hours (Gohan) to actually fully release all potential. - TeenGohanZ Edited by Yu Narukami, Feb 27 2012, 10:23 PM.

Babidi's unlock brought Vegeta's power past it's limits, so it isn't a true potential unlock either. SSj3 can be a potential unlock or set multiplier depending on what guide you believe. |

Provide some evidence to support your theory on SSJ3 stated being similar to Majin power up. It was stated by who and when? |

Made an edit, TGZ reminded me of Majin taking the person past their limits. I believe that the potential theory regarding SSJ3 was in Daizenshuu 7, although I may be incorrect. OFG'll know. |

To add onto your list: Super God Water: Potential unlock and nothing more (I think), have to endure through, possibly life-ending, pain for the effects work though Guru's unlock: Seems to range from taking days (Krillin - which didn't even seem to start for a few days) to hours (Gohan) to actually fully release all potential. |

Sure, you'll probably want to expand on them more though. And you should probably say that SSj3 may also be a set multiplier according to the SEG. |

IMO Majin Aliases: Babidi's Mind Control Proof of Consent. Babidi basically owns you with this; he promised you something and you took it. Not a method of unlocking potential. Although, since Babidi now owns you, he could pretty much do whatever he wants with anything in or on your body; you can resist just as much as he wears on you, but he still has hold of you, because, after all, you let him in. Elder Kaioshin's Unlock Aliases: Ultimate, Z, Mystic Elder Kaioshin reworks your ki at a unitized level. Super Saiyan 3 Aliases: SSJ3, Beyond Ascension IMO, The initial transformation jettisons the users limitations, and then applies the fixed factor; in other words, Vegeta and Goku were equals, albeit SSJ3.
Super Saiyan 4 non-canon. |
