Going off topic I know but found this earlier http://www.givingwhatwecan.org/resources/how-rich-you-are.php Not completely accurate since it doesn't take into account that certain things cost more in certain places, but still it's true that most in the "West" don't get it bad, even if they have it bad for their country. |

A wigger is a white person trying to act black. No one around my area uses it. It sounds really goofy. |

it is goofy, but its even goofier because....how do you act black? how do you act anything? arent you just you? ive always believed that only racists play into that sort of thing, cause they try to explain how everyone is sooooo different. some people enjoy being a stereotype. they dont know better, they are chained up too. for anyones info? i havent skydived yet, but i do ride horses, and like being out in nature. Another self propelled stereotype african americans suffer from/perpetuate on each other. |

Thats just the definition everyone uses. "Acting black" is fueled by racism, I agree with you. |

I've only ever heard the term wigger in like Eminem songs. Most noteably his song called "The Way I Am" So I'm assuming that people get called a wigger if they're white but are involved with the whole rap and hip-hop culture. Kinda like they're seen as wannabes because they're "trying to be black" - in the assumption that being black is a set stereotype that involves rapping of some kind. I've never been called a wigger but I like Eminem, and I like Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit, and while others might not, he's also regarded as a white rapper of some sort, although its difficult, because he's neither 100% rap or 100% metal, and I guess both those two guys would be referred to as wigger in some circles, as well as any white people that try to do the same things they do or are just big fans. To be honest I don't think the term wigger actually has any meaning, or ever has done. If you're like me, a regular person who happens to be white, and you try to rap or be "gangster" or whatever, you just get considered white (even though white does assume you cant rap). Same as if you try to dance and stuff in some cases. Wigger is just an update of the term Honky that people used in the 70s with the whole disco thing but all in all i feel that its an attempt to be derrogatory towards white people. |

of course its derogatory, its also a white racist inspired word. Most blacks would more than likely go with a stereotypical name like white chocolate or something. Not trying to be offensive, but white chocolate is better than a play on the word N*gger IMO. Then again this is only in a serious situation. I imagine being called a wigger would only be in an offensive manner, as IVE PERSONALLY heard racists use in a direct context. Im talking tattoos and nazi stuff guys. Who surprisingly are well informative of their beliefs if you ask them. |

None of those terms offend me at all. "Fugly" is just ridiculous. lol. I use that one when I'm joking with my friends. "Queer" is the only term that could be considered remotely offensive from that list. |

^^^ taking the list so literal is taking this topic out of context. its about any offensive words used against you. share alike or take your pick, dont troll. Edited by Paikuan extreme, Feb 28 2012, 01:19 AM.

Well I never heard that word be used but i have heard the term wannbe black used alot. To be honest all of the words on the list are either not really insulting in my opinion or are rarely used. Wiggers: Not used alot and it sounds silly. Not too insulting as well. Nerds: Never heard it being used in a serious manner. Not insulting to me at all. Geeks: Same as above. Fugly: This one just screams immaturity. Somewhat used. Queer: This is insulting but it seems to be rarely used in my point of view. Though the synonyms are often used. Loner: This word means a guy that is very happy when alone. What is exactly insulting about this? I would only be a bit insulted if I got called queer out of this list. |

I don't see how I was trolling either. That word gets thrown around a bit too much lately. My response was serious. I answered the OP's question with my definition, which others also have the same opinion of... |

I clearly stated that you were doing so in the other thread NOT this one. my response to what you said was never answered, what would you call it? Daniel san: Dissecting the list doesnt answer the question. Those names are quite obviously examples. REREAD THREAD TITLE for clarification on how to answer this question like you actually read it. I'm actually kind of confused now about what the question is. I don't find any of those words offensive, personally. I actually like being called a nerd or a loner sometimes.
No, race had nothing to do with my response in the other thread. You took it that way. I was stereotyping the general behavior, sure, but that had nothing to do with their race just because they happened to be black. If I offended you, I apologize, but that was not my intention. I don't take to heart insults by words. It's a pretty dumb term if you ask me. It makes the N word in contrast specifically for Black people. |
