I can safely assume that a lot of people have been wondering how much power Cell gained from absorbing humans before confronting Androids 17&18. If you've ever made a power level list, you have probably thought "Geez, the good guys are so powerful by now, and Cell needs to be even stronger than that. Let's see, if the average human is 5, and Cell needs to get so much stronger, then we would have to absorb(calculates...) 500 million people?! What the F---?!" Now, it can be hard to grasp that concept, but I've come up with a way to have Cell absorb less people and he could still be that strong. The answer? Cell is a Super Saiyan. Hear me out: My theory is that the power of the people that Cell absorbs goes to his base power, and with the Saiyan DNA in him, he multiplies that, becoming inconceivably strong. This is supported by Cell displaying a Super Saiyan aura. So, for example, instead of Cell absorbing 500 million people to be able to Roflstomp Piccolo, he would only need to absorb 50 million people(if you believe in a 10x Ssj multiplier), or 10 million(if you believe in a 50x Ssj multiplier). Thoughts? Edited by Selsiuss, Feb 25 2012, 09:44 AM.

Hey, it's better than assuming Cell couldn't get that strong "just because."

That problem doesn't arise if you have the androids below 1 billion. I think Perfect Cell, not Imperfect or Semi Perfect, is Super Saiyan Cell, and Super Perfect Cell is Super Saiyan 2 Cell. |

Then what would you make of Imperfect Cell's Super Saiyan-like aura? |

Umm, I really don't know. Maybe this: Imperfect Cell = SSJ Perfect Cell = MSSJ Super Perfect Cell = SSJ2 |

It's a very plausible theory considering he mimics Trunk's SSJG2 (ala USSJ) form. He'd be a constant Super Saiyan with no strain at all. Now why does that sound so familiar.....wait |
