Do you think any of these candidates could make a postive change for America? Or are they likely to be just as unpopular or more so than him?
We really don't know for sure but I do believe Romney would be a step up on economic issues.

Candidates always have fresh ideas starting out. Once they become president it's hard to pass what you want and when you finally do get it it's just a watered down version of what you wanted.
Another issue is that the country is very divided atm (some believe we're as divided as we were during the Civil War). We need someone who can unite the country for a common goal.
I suppose that's what Romney is trying to do with the whole "Believe in America" slogan. Obama is currently thinking of a new slogan for the 2012 campaign.

Wow, really? If you don't vote, you don't have a right to complain. Period. And that's my philosophy.
But if the only people to vote for are the opposite of your views why would you want to vote any of them into office?

I agree with ObsessiveFanGirl. :)

I'm not surprised we share the same political views and philosophies.

Normally I don't ever watch Fox news videos, but this guy is a rebel.

Food for thought.

How are they all completely opposite of your views when Obama is the opposite of them all? Obviously there's someone that you feel is better than the rest.

And guys, you're getting off topic. Come on.

Well opposite maybe isn't the right word. I don't like our intervention with foreign countries, most of them want to outlaw medicinal marijuana, and the general public eats up what ever they say. An example would be the Santorum speaking of the polish people getting uthenized and him getting a spark of popularity. I know for a fact the guy I like isn't getting in and disagree with ever other one of the nominees so I won't vote for them any ways. Picking the best of the worst is what got us Bush and Obama.

I agree. Without wanting this to turn into a legalise marijuana debate, there is plenty of evidence that it is a harmful substance and we shouldn't be aiming to legalise harmful substances. Quite the opposite in fact.

As Obsessive fangirl said, it is not an issue that should have any priority over more serious matters. Education and healthcare for instance. All I hear about is marijuana, abortions and gay marriage. These should not be at the top of any leaders to do list. Practical methods to fix the economy, make healthcare more accsessible to the poor and improve standards of education should ideally be the main selling points of any presidential candidate I would have thought?

But can we really afford another 4 years?
He has added 5.5 trillion to the debt (he said he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term)

I understand you have to spend sometimes to help fix the economy but cutting wouldn't be a bad idea either.
His stimulus bill was poorly executed and the health care one seemed pretty unnecessary considering there were bigger issues at the time. That and a majority of the country didn't want it in the first place.

Lets not forget he passed the NDAA.
man, obama, has failed in so many areas its not even funny. well kinda...

adding so much more trillions to the deficit is SUPER FAIL.

what he's doing to support the internet being taken over by corporations? fail.

making it so that sony can sue people for modifying their own equipment they bought from the store? ultimate FAIL...

obama killed osama...thats the only promise he kept, except now seal team 6 is dead. (supposedly)

i like the fact that america is ready for a president thats non white or a woman, but cmon obama, you started failing out the gate, and even some of your biggest and most vocal supporters have turned on you.

not a good look.

so when people say they dont like obama? i try not to take it personal, the guy has failed hardcore. Not as bad as bush in any way, but still just ....fail.

I'm pretty sure he had nothing to do with that.

Another thing is the ACTA deal.... That was done/created by the executive branch of the government, therefor Obama either made the idea for it or supported it. He publicly said he would veto SOPA/PIPA, then a few weeks later mentioned in his State of Union Address to the nation that he wouldn't stop cracking down on pirating no matter what the cost. It's obvious he just wants Hollywood support in the upcoming election, baffles me how he still has strong support given his presidency. He wasn't the worst ever or anything, but was below average.

He's a great speaker and the unemployment rate going down. People fail to realize that it went down in the first place because people dropped out of the work force.
Once people hear the good news and start looking for jobs again it'll just come back up.

If the next president doesn't do what he promised in his campaign, will you all lose faith in your government. The way I see it, if that happens then it means that all the campaigning and debates are just a waste of time. Your voting system would be kind of pointless since your voting for things which won't happen. It's one of the main problems with voting for a single leader instead of a group.

That's true, I just like to have more faith in people that feel they're intelligent enough to cast a vote for the leader of our nation lol....but I guess that's asking for too much.
