Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

In the Frieza saga, Vegeta blames Frieza for basically enslaving him. He hates him and the fact that he made him serve in his empire. However, when Goku allegedly kills Frieza, he couldn't care less just happy that he's currently the strongest. One year later, Frieza reappears in mechanized form only to be killed by Trunks. Vegeta doesn't really care then either. The only time this was brought up was during Vegeta's revelation about Goku being the more gifted warrior during the Kid Buu. My question is why wasn't this brought up sooner- Vegeta feeling furious for not being able to take revenge on Frieza?

Okay, I know what you all are thinking:

"This is extremely simple- Vegeta was obsessed with becoming a Super Saiyan like Goku and Trunks were to reclaim his place as prince of all saiyans"

I KNOW this is a main reason.

The topic is about why didn't Vegeta Want to take revenge on Frieza

Vegeta could not have killed Freeza at that point; the former pretty much stated that Freeza's arrival meant the end of Earth. Aside from that, Vegeta wanted Freeza to fall at the hands of a Saiyan Warrior, and at his deathbed, he passed that resolve to Goku. When Freeza returned, Future Trunks was the fighter who dispatched him; apparently, he was a Super Saiyan, as confirmed by Goku, so it remained that Freeza was killed by a saiyan.

What you state in the above post is true as well; Vegeta became more occupied as to why or how Goku, and the boy, become the legendary warrior of their race, and vowed to reclaim his place as the Prince of All Saiyans. Freeza has already been compromised as Freeza's power was nothing to that of the Super Saiyans, thus Vegeta would not have to contend with Freeza's power, but rather the powers of Goku and Future Trunks.

How's that?

^ Not bad actually. At first, I wondered how Vegeta could just forget that hate he had toward Frieza. However, what you said is true- Vegeta's primary concern is always about power so it makes sense why it would disappear
