How do you calculate a person's power level? I know that power levels calculate how good you are at combat but that's it. Do you have any ideas on how to calculate power levels?

Do you mean how to find a character's power level that you don't know?

The only power level of an average person we see is of the farmer. The farmer is a buff/fat man with a power level of just 5. Assuming he does farm work, and carries a shotgun, I'd put him at about 2x stronger than the average person, so the average person would be at about a PL of 2.5.

Multiply/divide accordingly to how much stronger/weaker than a normal person is the person you are trying to calculate the PL of.

Which brings up a great question, I wonder what Hercule's power level was? In all fairness, he was the world champion :P

I dont think it is that high, although it must be higher than the average man since he was the champ.

My thoughts exactly, if the average man was a 2.5, I'm sure he could straggle out about a 4 or a 5..

But anyway back on topic, power levels seemed to become irrelevant not to late in the series, eventually everyone just became to damn powerful to comprehend with a number, unless you're Yamcha. But if you really wanna calculate power levels, buy a scouter silly.

Rocky Marciano's punch was recorded at 1008j and it was the most energetic punch ever recorded.
So let us say peak human punch = 1008j.
Let's say an average human is at 5. An unremarkable punch is recorded at 100j. A strong Kareteka punch is recorded at 450j.
An average human punch = 504j. So a peak human would be at 10. A weak superhuman would be x2 a peak human so it's 20. To destroy a tree or a wall you need an over 5000j punch. A superhuman would be at >5000j.
----
Average Human: 5.
Peak Human: 10.
Super Human: 20.
_____
Hope this helps.

Okay doing farm things and stuff, but 2.5 is way too low imo.
4 is better... again, IMO.
