On the 18th of February, undefeated Vitali Klitchko will be defending the heavy weight boxing title from challenger Derek Chisora in Germany I believe. I often see judges in Germany give ridiculous scores when it comes to decisions. Often siding with their own kind. So Derek Chisora better make sure he scores a KO or the decision likely won't go his way. That's if he doesn't get ko'd by Vitali. It's boxing. Anything can happen. Even if Chisora does have a chin to rival the great Rocky Marciano. I mean my god, if you saw the pounding he took from Tyson Fury then you might understand where I'm coming from with that statement. I'm gonna say that Vitali will win this by a decision. He's a better boxer than Chisora and way more experienced. That being said this is boxing and anything can happen. Vitali can be cut and stopped that way like when he faught Lennox Lewis. But I'm fairly confident his reach and experience will overwhelm Chisora. Apparently this fight is only viewable on Box Nation. So anyone interested will either have to fork out for that or wait till later on to find out who the victor is. |

Well that result was kind of expected yet still disappointing. I was hoping Chisora would throw a few more punches. Instead he seemed a little shell shocked. Not throwing enough when he had the chance. And Vitali definately wasn't on form. He started off ok, but by round three he was a shell of the fighter he once was. If he had been fighting against a better quality, more experienced fighter than it could have been lights out for him. Just goes to show what a paper champion he really is, when a no hoper like Derek Chisora can keep him on the back foot all night whilst barely even throwing shots. Yeah ok, that's bit harsh. Chisora got some great body shots in and landed a few right hooks. But so what? Most of the time he was hitting air. That was when he actually decided to throw some punches and not just run at Vitali like a bull to a rag. Chisora shouldn't have even been able to get close. If that had been a prime Vitali then I'd be talking about an epic KO right now. Instead we get Chisora chasing him around the ring, looking for a single punch knockout which was never gonna happen. You only have to look at his fight record to see that. He's not a bum by any means, don't get me wrong. But he's not champion material either. He doesn't have that edge. That understanding of when to unload on an opponent. He'll only ever be very good. Not amazing. |

Yeah, saw this fight too. Was surprised i could watch it, as i dont have a subscription to box nation, but im happy got to watch the fight. Lot of bad blood there, controversy with the hand-wraps and chisora refusing to have wladimir (younger klitchsko bro) into his dressing room, then spitting water in his face in the ring. Then at the end, when Vitali won a deserved uanimous decision, Chisora is having more words with him, squaring up and being threatening. Dont need to give a review of the fight as you, Pelador, have said it as it happened. Chisora fought much better than he did against Tyson Fury, but like you say, he's good, but nothing amazing. First time ive seen Vitali fight, only seen brief clips before and i wondered what people where talking about, the spiteful shots and the meaner punches, he did bang in a couple but nothing impressive by heavyweight greats standards. Thought it was decent fight, both guys showed they had a good chins and took some hefty shots, not one id watch again or recommend to anyone else though, but was entertaining enough. |
