As you can tell I'm a political junkie! I was wondering if any of you would like to share you view of current politics?
For eample: do you consider yourself a liberal moderate or conservative? What party do you prefer?USA[Republican or democrat] GB[liberal democrats or the conservative party]
also, If you were president or prime minister, what would be your campaigned main issue. what political issue is most important to you?

My answers: I consider myself a moderate, non affiliated party member. why? I feel that the views of politics constantly change therefore my views constantly change. I could vote democrat or republican at any given time. as for Britain's politics, I seem to enjoy David Cameron's responses on question Wednesdays. He seems to do okay besides in the field of unemployment rates. He seems to have a similar non specific answer for it all. If I was president/Prime minister I would campaign on helping the people. Our priority is to insure that the people are happy and the economy is striving. If everyone is unhappy and scared Consumers don't buy, economy doesn't circulate and we fail as a country. I always keep in mind "popular sovereignty".

So that's me! what about you!

Crazy Awesome Legend

I'd vote for anyone who I think could actually do some good. Doesn't matter what their party is. Well to an extent. I'd never ever vote for the the far right British National Party.

If I was prime minister, I'd be mainly into making education better. That would be my area of expertise. Certain things such as foreign languages need to be taught at younger ages. It's starting to happen now but not quickly enough. And child care should be taught at school too. If every parent knew how not to raise their children then we'd have a heck of a lot less child abuse going on. And a better quality society as a result. Damaged children become damaged people.

I liked David Cameron to begin with but then I came to realise that he was actually just an empyy tin of caviar. In other words, on the label it's very very good. In reality, there's nothing much there. He has failed time and time again to improve this country. His government has lead to riots, looting and resentment from the general public. The conservative party only ever benefits a small demographic of people whilst the little man has to struggle on unheard. David Cameron is a vile louse.

@ First Person

I wouldn't brag about the fact that your views are changing constantly. It makes you either seem uneducated or very vulnerable to other people pushing their ideology on you. "Non-specific" answers usually come from the uneducated or people that are cloaking their true intentions, at least in America's history.

I'm a moderate/Independent. I support ideas and views from both "sides," and I tend to be a little Libertarian.

Sparking!

I philosophically condemn the methods government innately uses to solve problems, for this reason I support anarcho-capitalism, not because I hate the poor or any contrived crap like that.

In other words, I'm an extreme Libertarian.

Cal, Actually more intelligent people, especially a person who is gifted [IQ over 140] under the standards of his government should change constantly. Why? Well, first off I don't mean on a particular subject I mean my views of a political party. An intelligent person doesn't coincide for one specific party. An intellectual mind understands that each person is his own whether he is Democrat or Republican. I know you misunderstood me, but don't offend me without basis.

I agree with you Pelador on David Cameron, I fell his intentions are good but they are "Unsuccessful attempts."
I'm an American but I'm very Interested in the success of U.K with an unwritten constitution.

Not that it's worth arguing, but categorizing geniuses (or gifted people) and retarded people by a test like an IQ test is naive in the first place. I don't know if I feel sorrier for the people that think their IQ reflects anything besides their ability to take a test over a small period of time, or the people that are scared to take it because of the potential results.

Also, I did understand you.... If I hadn't of understood you I wouldn't of replied :|

I didn't mean to "offend" you or whatever (even though I don't think I did), but anyone who claims to be a political junkie, then goes on and condones people who give "non specific answers" to tough questions, needs to be questioned their self.

I think that MS meant that he shifts from Democrat to Republican from time to time, but if that's what he was going for then he worded it completely wrong. If not... ehhhh.

I agree that an IQ test means next to nothing in the long run.

IQ tests determine how smart someone is, so they definitely mean a whole lot.

The IQ test is the most accurate Intelligence test there is, It takes in the average age and the intelligence of these ages and also the maturity of your mindset and its reactions within time limits. Thus a gifted IQ informs you that with a problem the time I react and the amount of my brain I use is nearly a 99.9 percentile for my age since they initiated the IQ test, I didn't mean to set that out there as a boast but the way you Input your comment, it stated that unintelligent people shift their views, obviously inferring that you intended the "unintelligent" towards me. Therefore giving offense. But nonetheless, Fangirl is exactly right. I don't change my views on issues but on parties, depending on the candidate and his overall closeness to my Views.

IQ tests determine how intelligent you are, of course, but not everyone is a good test taker. I know people with an outstanding IQ who do horribly in school and in life--their IQ score is merely a bragging right for them. On the other hand, I know of people who are very successful, intelligent people who only scored average or slightly above average on the test.

And I tend to shift parties as well, MS. :D

I disagree on that fangirl, there is no such thing as a good or bad test taker, either you know the answers or you don't. Harsh but honest.

They compare the mental capacity and potential a person has when compared to his/her age group (supposedly). It doesn't measure how "smart" you are, granted "smart" is so subjective it couldn't even begin to scratch that surface anyway.

@MS

Eh, not worth arguing. Intelligence tests are flawed from the get-go, whenever people decide that being able to do basic math and being able to form coherent thoughts/sentences within 10 seconds makes you a genius, they're only generalizing cliques that contain many contradictions in the end.

It' s not worth arguing, the only reason I said it all was due to the offensive nature of your "Unintelligent" comment

There is such a thing. Many things come into play when taking tests.

And I wasn't serious, Cal. :)
