Is this a deviation from the manga/japanese version? I ask this because Super Buu's comment about how he was just waiting implies that Gotenk's power did not impress him. Many have said that SSJ3 Gotenks would've defeated him if not for the time limit but I've also heard people say that he's overrated. So did the english dub screw that up or not?

That's in the Japanese manga, too. It doesn't necessarily imply nobody but Gohan surpassed him, though. With Gohan in the wings and Gotenks right in his face, he would've been finished either way. I'm not sure if this is in the manga or not, but I think he might've said he only fought Gohan to test him out a bit before waiting for the kids to be able to fuse again and absorb them. Trunks also stated Gohan was only "a bit" more powerful than them, and it was never contradicted even by Goten, who's not cocky. Edited by Pyrus, Feb 2 2012, 01:20 AM.
