Well you deal with what you got, I chose to rewatch GT with the Japanese Subs on, and I learned more about the Plot and where to place everyone. |

So you haven't watched the Japanese version of GT and yet you are judging it. I honestly cannot see how you can judge the music from the Japanese version if you haven't watched it. So for you, if it's the Japanese version, the music is instantly terrible and everything about it sucks. Let's quit it with this overly nationalistic view of dubs and subs and try to keep an open mind. Actually watch the Japanese version instead of guessing what it will be like based on preconceived and obviously close minded judgement. And an opening should not only be judged by how supposedly catchy it is. It also has to do with matching the underlying themes of the show. And to be fairly honest, there was no prevalent themes that were taken out of "STEP INTO THE GRAND TOUR". And a rap, really. It's like they're trying to make kids say, "Woah, that stuff's so badass. You hear that rap, we can tell now that this show is gonna be the hippest thing eva!!" Edited by songohanfrancais, Jan 28 2012, 10:56 AM.

I've always believed, if you have never watched or experienced something, then don't judge it, because you never know if you'll Actually enjoy it or not. |

I suggest if you want to see GT in Japanese just buy the funimation remastered sets or the singles in DVD. Anyways I have not watched it in Japanese but I want to because I just watched Dragonball GT a heroes legacy in Japanese from the DVD release and it made more sense.

I doubt the Japanese version would save GT much. My problem with GT was with the handling of the plot and unlikable characterization. |

Characterization is much smoother in the Japanese version. The plot isn't much better, but that can't really be fixed switching between languages. |

Can't see how a language I can't speak will make better a series I can't understand. |

It's called subtitles unless you never learned to read or you actually prefer Pan's awful voice. |

I guess you have a point I did watch Death Note in Japanese after all. The voice acting outside of pan wasn't a problem for me it was the plot and how dumb it was. Can't see VA changing that but I'll give it a try before I boast it's a bad dub. |

Yeah I don't think the subbed version can save GT. Then again I wouldn't know since I only watched half of the series dubbed. |

The few dozen or so episodes in space were a bore. I doubt any dub could make it good. The baby saga on the otherhand was decent and the highly hated 17 Saga was decent in my opinion. The end wasn't so well done but hopefully japanese dub can make a difference. |

Hmm... I never saw Japanese GT. My experience with Japanese DB & DBZ was definitely better than my others. I'm glad I actually opened this post for the hell of it, I might try GT again in the future to see if it's actually enjoyable. |

Doesn't matter, there isn't much characterization in GT anyways.

GT in LOOK AT ME! I'M BEING RACIST! and Eng are good in their own perspectives. I used to be an intense LOOK AT ME! I'M BEING RACIST! version fan, only to realize the Funi's effort put into the show. Sure, the soundtrack isn't impprsive and even kill's the show to some extent, but all that was saved by Sean and Sabat's voice actin, though the latter had the tendency to overact at times, while the former, just altered the characterizations, somethin like givin him voice more to suit the masculine-macho hero-type, which isn't a bad thing, but gives an excuse for majority of non-DB fan's to misundertand Son as dumb in ENg Version, while he wasn't so in LOOK AT ME! I'M BEING RACIST! Version actually.. |
