Like most Australians, I hate it, it's so stupid to begin with, and Gillard lied to everyone about it! Rudd should have never been booted.

It just looks like a way for Gillard to keep the promise to get the budget back to surplus in 4 years. It's not going to stop pollution and it wil just end up making things more expensive for the common man. In any case, there won't be a vote on it anyway. The Greens and Labor will see it through the lower house and the Greens majority in the Senate will see it passed there. Only hope is that some Labor members and the Independents vote against it.

But, given the ridiculous amount of scaremongering when it comes to nuclear energy in this country, I don't see that happening any time soon.
