Okay, I saw some people thinking differently about this, and there's not problem 'bout it. Until they get offensive... Why is Gohan > Goku? Here are some prooves. Goku claimed to be stronger than Fat Buu. So: Goku > Fat Buu. And post HTC Gotenks was sure to be enough to take Fat Buu in base. (He knew Buu's power, they fought too. And Gotenks got destroyed.) So: Gotenks (Post HTC) = SSJ3 Goku > Fat Buu. ...and SSJ3 Gotenks is just overkill. SSJ 3 Gotenks >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SSJ3 Goku > Fat Buu. Let's add in Super Buu too. Super Buu=SSJ 3 Gotenks >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SSJ3 Goku > Fat Buu. And Gohan wtfstomped Buu. Mystic Gohan >>Super Buu=SSJ 3 Gotenks >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SSJ3 Goku > Fat Buu. Nuff said. =D |

I think it's due to how hard it is to see the gap between Super Buu & Fat Buu, but it's definitely there.

At the time, Piccolo assumed Goku > Fat Buu, but since Goku claims he couldn't beat Fat Buu, Piccolo thinks Goku < Fat Buu. Next, we have Piccolo being that confident SSJ Gotenks can beat Fat Buu and he thinks somebody as strong as SSJ3 Goku couldn't beat him, so ... SSJ Gotenks (Pre) > SSJ3 Goku. Then, Piccolo claims Super Buu >> Fat Buu and Goku is astounded by Super Buu's Ki that was sensed from the Kaioshin Realm, so Initial Super Buu > SSJ3 Goku. Later, Piccolo states that he expects SSJ Gotenks to be a lot stronger and still thinks he won't stand a chance, but we're shown later that Base Gotenks (Post) blows away those expectations, so Base Gotenks (Post) > Super Buu > SSJ Gotenks (Expectations) >>> SSJ Gotenks (Pre). And since we know SSJ Gotenks is much stronger than Base Gotenks and SSJ3 Gotenks is far above SSJ Gotenks, this is just overkill. Edited by Mysterious9001, Jan 18 2012, 09:29 PM.

I just want to add that Piccolo knew Goku was more powerful than Fat Boo, and that's why he asked Goku if he could do it going all-out. So in order for SSjin Gotenks to be confirmed above Fat Boo, he'd need to have a decent lead on SSjin 3 Goku in my opinion. |

Yeah. Piccolo knew Goku > Fat Boo, but Piccolo had no reason not to believe Goku, so Piccolo thinks Goku < Fat Boo. Then, he senses SSJ Gotenks and is confident that Ki-wise, he can take down Fat Boo. So yeah, that proves that SSJ Gotenks (pre) > SSJ3 Goku.

Truth. I don't know why it's so hard for some to grasp that simple train of logic just because Piccolo doesn't go, "HURR DURR Gotenks dawg you are totally stronger than Goku now go be an hero!!1!!" |

agreed, i dont see how this mistake could be made. In my opinion the anime really didnt screw it up that much, fat buu became evil buu became super buu became buff buu, then after losing EVERYONE ever inside him? he goes kid buu (original form) only THEN could goku by himself fight kid buu. Kid buu was so crazy to deal with though that alot of ***** happened before the lid was closed. Even by the anime its not hard to figure out. fat buu was born split in two metamorphosed and got stronger became a being of unprecedented power (as promised) acquired MORE power by continuously absorbing others LOST that power, reverted back into original form before becoming fat (and comparably gentle) Buu. so yeah, even by anime standards goku couldnt and didnt beat super buu by himself. was scared to fight him, mostly did some dodging, ran to go find gohan. the rest is history. |

I think it's due to the fact that some don't want to believe that Goku isnt the strongest. Even though all through the series there were points when Goku wasn't the strongest. |

I completely concur. I'm not an advocate for Gotenks in any form with him being so ridiculously hacked full of power . On the subject though, Gohan wins in his "Mystic" form against Goku's SSJ 1-3 Against 4? I'm not at all sure how you can really compare that. |

Super Saiyan 4 Z Goku. No such thing as SS4 exists in the manga. The SS4 multiplier itself is many, many times SS3, though. Powerful as Ultimate Gohan was, I think that if Goku powered up even 10 times from SS3, that would be enough to take Ultimate Gohan. I'd say Gohan was about 5-6 times more powerful than Goku at that point in time in Z. |
